Some of these deserve less sympathy than others though.
Like it's clear that Zeus still wanted Hades to join the party and be happy that Hercules had been born, but he just couldnt.
To be fair though, it has never been revealed what his backstory before that was except that the other gods really hated him already then.
But I don't see how not liking his job is a justification for him having his baby nephew kidnapped or having mortals sell their souls to him or letting the titans loose.
There are some hints though that his relationship with Zeus had been bad since forever.
And I don't think that Ursula ever could have been helpful to people either.
Triton hardly just banished her for no good reason, and it was her own choice to take advantage of people instead of really being good to them.

The two villains I can understand most is Ursula and maleficent cause it wasnt right what happened to them I mean I can understand Ursula from the book how she also hates her brother and humans as well that wasnt fair and as for maleficent I can understand how she became that way the king Stefan took her wings away and treating her like trash as well I dont blame maleficent for getting revenge on the king

Hades isnt evil, quite the opposite hes extremely faithful and loyal to his wife persephone. He just the God of the dead and originally the thrown of Olympus was his by birthright since hes the oldest of Rhea and kronos (titans and his parents, yes the kronos who swallowed his children. He does his job and doesn't cause problems for the mortals ever unlike his brothers

Always feel bad for Hades coz it's not like he's an actual bad guy. He the ruler of the underworld. he's an outcast, he had something forced on him and while the rest of the gods live a life of joy he's left to be with dead folk and a giant three headed dog( which would rock actually)

I dont like the idea of snake venom making Scar evil. It wouldve made more sense if they stuck with the story of two brothers book instead. I like to think Scar became the way he is out of jealousy and being disowned by his parent who favoured Mufasa more. A lot of people in real life can turn out like him that way

I read somewhere that the removal of Maleficent's wings was meant to be an allegory for rape. Very dark but it adds extra layers to the story. While I'm not particularly a fan of the Maleficent movie, I do give credit for the creators for attempting to showcase that kind of storytelling.

You know here's the problem when you try to make villains more than the heroes it does nothing but make people think differently about the originals. Remember when you were able to call cruella or maleficent a villian nope not anymore now the heroes look like the villains. SMFH

As incredible and hilarious a villain Hades was, I always wonder how the movie would've turned out if Hades was a twist-good-guy, like Bruno in Encanto. He could be Hercules's funny uncle, and the Titans could be the main villains.

I'm sorry but the Mulan remake COMPLETELY ruined Mulan for me! It was a COMPLETE wast of time & money! They took out ALL the good parts & ruined my FAVORITE Disney princess. .. I much prefer the animated one!

You know it's a well written when you can sympathize with the villian, and though I didn't really sympathize with Nuka he was definitely one of the saddest villian deaths.
