Heres a fact: TransLink, Vancouvers public transit company, hired Seth Rogen to record some announcements for on board buses and the SkyTrain. While the voice for SkyTrain station announcements remained to be Loreen Reagan, Seth Rogen recorded announcements about transit etiquette, such as moving to the back of a bus to make room and not to wear perfume on public transit

Funny that they only mention Elijah Wood, Jennifer Connelly, and Christopher Plummer with 9 when they ALSO had Martin Landau, John C. Reilly, and Crispin Glover. Pretty much the entire cast was big name celebs. The only lesser known voices were Fred Tatascoire, a voice actor in numerous movies and shows, and Alan Oppenheimer, SKELETOR.

The Transformers: The Movie
The film features the voices of Eric Idle, Judd Nelson, Leonard Nimoy, Casey Kasem, Robert Stack, Lionel Stander, John Moschitta Jr, Peter Cullen, and Frank Welker, and saw the final film roles for Orson Welles who died before the films release and Scatman Crothers who died after the release of the film.

In my opinion, Horton Hears a Who (2008) should be on this list.
Side cast: Amy Poehler, Seth Rogen, Isla Fisher, Will Arnett, Selena Gomez, Jesse McCartney, Joey King, Jonah Hill, Niecy Nash, Dan Folger.
Main Cast: Jim Carrey, Steve Carell, Carol Burnett
The Main cast ALONE should get the movie an Oscar.

So glad the lion King got the top spot. That is my all-time favorite animated movie. It came out when I was a teenager in the 90s. Yes, theyve done a reboot. So, not the same.
Ive seen it a million times, and I can just laugh and laugh at Timon and Pumba!

I know it's over 30yrs old but at the time Transformers The Movie was noted for it's cast. Orson Welles, Robert Stack, Jud Nelson, Leonard Nimoy and Weird Al Yankovic. Not a huge cast but back then it wasn't commonplace to get big names for animated movies.

What about another dream works classic, Monsters vs Aliens. It should have made at least honerable mentions. This cast is amazing. Reese Witherspoon, Paul Rudd, Will Arnett, Raine Wilson, Amy Poehler, Seth Rogen, Ed Helms, John Krasinski, etc. I rest my case.
reply

Now THAT is something I never knew. Taron Egerton performed I'm Still Standing in both Sing and Rocketman, which are two VERY different movies in terms of tone, taste and target audience, but both deliver on highly musical endings just based on that.

4: 01 =THAT'S WHY! No wonder the Witch was familiar in Into The Woods. I watched Anastasia first in G6 and Into the Woods in my 2nd year of College. The latter was my introduction to her name and face. Like Dang that voice was high!
reply

I already wrote this in the comment section of a similar top, but anyway. As someone who watched most of these movies dubbed in Italian, I'm discovering that so many famous people worked on the original versions!
reply

Ahm Kung Fu Panda Dustin Hoffman, Jackie Chan, Angelina Jolie, Jack Black, Lucy Lui, Micheal Clarke Duncan, Seth Rogen, David Cross, Ian Mcshane, Gary Oldman, Michelle Yeoh, Van Damme, Bryan Cranston etc
reply

I'd say that the Cars franchise has had great voices chosen for their characters. Owen Wilson as McQueen, Larry the Cable Guy as Mater, Bonnie Hunt as Sally and of course Paul Newman as Doc Hudson
reply

The last unicorn, 1982. It had a big number of celebrities way before hiring A-list actors for animated films became a trend. Mia Farrow, Angela Lansbury, Christopher Lee, Jeff Bridges, Alan Arkin.
reply

When I tell you that it's been years since I've watched Happy Feet and forgot that Steve Irwin was part of the cast, hearing his voice just took me back to my childhood and dammit I wanna go back: (
reply

Actually, for Prince of Egypt, the voice of God was ALL the actors/actresses. Val Kilmer's was just more prominent, but you can hear that there are several voices for God in those scenes.
reply

Sing, The Lion King, Shrek 2, Anastasia, My Little Pony: The Movie, Ice Age: Continental Drift, Happy Feet, Over the Hedge, Ralph Breaks the Internet, Hotel Transylvania 2 are my favorites.
reply

The first time I watched the Sausage Party was with my nephews and nieces. As the movie goes on I realized the movie is not for kids, specially the ending part. Really shocked me.

Nick Kroll used the same German accent that he used for Gunter when he voiced Professor Pee-Pee Dirrheanstein Poopypants Esquire in the Captain Underpants movie
reply

Kung Fu Panda 2? Joe Black, Angelina Jolie, Gary Oldman, Jackie Chan, Lucy Liu, Dustin Hoffman, Vann Damme, Victor Garber, David Cross, Seth Rogen, no? okay
reply

Im pretty sure the late, great Christine Cavanaugh provided the voice for Babe. Absolutely no disrespect to the stellar E. G. Daily, though.
reply

Onward, Spies in Disguise, Kung Fu Panda Trilogy, How to Train Your Dragon Trilogy, Shark Tale, Megamind, Soul, Zootopia, Spiderman: Into the Spiderverse
reply

Switch sausage party with Over the Hedge and the list is WAY BETTER! _ I'm happy to see the Prince of Egypt on there though! It was amazing!
reply

The Lego Movie, The Prince of Egypt, and The Lion King (1994) are definitely my favorite animated movies with such amazing voice casts.
reply

Sing has the best cast ever. I mean how can you beat taron Egerton, Reese witherspoon and scarlett Johnasson? , they are fantastic.
reply

I haven't finished this yet. If the number one movie isn't Kung Fu Panda or Madagascar, I'm going to be very unhappy.
reply

Even though Dreamworks isnt a perfect studio, but they do have some great celebrities and star-static cast in their films
