We're in love with the funniest rom-com scenes of all time. Our countdown includes The Proposal, Bridesmaids, There's Something About Mary, and more! What do YOU think is the funniest rom-com scene?

So many hilarious rom-coms! What a fun genre, and a decent list. I wish each list could be about 20 long lol. I would have included About Time, Because I Said So, Book Club, Click, Continental Divide, The Goodbye Girl, The Invention of Lying, Just Like Heaven, Look Who's Talking, Must Love Dogs, Never Been Kissed, Nine Months, Something's Gotta Give, Superstar, Sweet Home Alabama, Wedding Crashers, What Women Want, and Yes Man. Maybe they don't all have strictly the rom-com formula, but all worthy of note!

My #1 all time favorite romcom is The Wedding Singer (1998. I also enjoyed the other 2 romcom by Adam Sandler + Drew Barrymore duo (50 First Dates (2004) and Blended (2014, but they don't come close to The Wedding Singer.
Notting Hill (1999) is at #2, and You've Got Mail (1998) is #3. These movies always manage to warm my cold heart and made my eyes wet.

1. I would move I'll Have What She's Having closer to the top of the list, but that's just me. Huge applause to Meg Ryan for taking that material and running with it! (An actor myself, not an easy scene to do)
2. Glad there's a Steve Carrell movie on this list, but I also thought of the waxing scene in The 40 Year Old Virgin as well.

I love your videos, but please stop saying, Greatest of all time, when there's literally nothing on this list before 1986. The honorable mention doesn't count. Unless you include scenes from The Awful Truth, Bringing Up Baby and really include one from It Happened One Night, this is a Top 10 of the last 35 years, not of all time.

Mickey Blue Eyes 1999. After a hilarious scene in which James Caan tries to teach Hugh Grant how to speak with a NY accent, Hugh Grant tries out his new found skill at the restaurant in one of the all time funniest scenes in a comedy.

Two week's notice, Traffic jam on the freeway! My favorite Rom-Com is My Best friend's wedding. I agree with the others that the scene you picked is not the funniest. I love the rehearsal dinner scene
reply

Best /funniest scene in my best friends wedding is Rupert at lunch pretending to Julia's fiancee and the made up story of how they met. And bridesmaids, shitting in the street scene.
reply

When Harry Met Sally has the funniest scene on this list, the movie is widely regarded as the best rom com, period. The rest pale in comparison. No I do not agree with your picks.
reply

Thank you for including It Happened One Night although I have to say the whole movie is funny and is the original rom-com of cinema so it deserves more than an honorable mention.
reply

I enjoyed the rom-com's Boomerang, HavPlenty and The Best Man. I haven't seen many of the movies that made this list. The When Harry Met Sally restaurant scene is pretty funny.
reply

Its an older film, but Some Like it Hot is hysterical. Marilyn Monroe is great. The train scene and the final scene are especially funny. If you havent watched it, you have to.

The title of this episode should be Top Ten Funniest Rom-Coms after 1988. With another episode for Rom-Coms of the classic Hollywood era, and of the Post-Studio era.

The way Ryan Gosling delivered the line, what are you grabbing, always gets me. His tone and intonation coupled with the situation he was in was just perfect.
reply

ive seen all these movies and i love rom-com! except for that 1934 with clark gable which i have to watch too. and im craving for watching them all again!
reply

I totally disagree with a lot of these choices. Id have to sit down and think about the ones that I like, but not very many of these made me laugh.
reply

I dunno. #6, the Proposal, the scene where Sandy and Ryan collided naked was pretty freaking hilarious: Why are you naked! Why are you wet!
reply

My ultimate favorite rom-com is Crazy Rich Asians and Rachel's every scene with Peik Lin, especially the chicken scene, lmfao!

Now the propagandizing for us to find persons of the profession termed acting is in order for us to be endeared by them! its not working!

MsMojo! You seriously didn't include ANY scene from My Big Fat Greek Wedding! When the headset yanked her back as she was trying to flirt!
reply

The scene is Bridesmaids when they are trying on wedding dresses after eating bad food. Look away! Brings me to tears every time
reply

In my top 5 would be in Forget Paris when Debra Winger's character accidentally gets a pigeon stuck to her head. LOL every time.
reply

The Proposal is not only my favorite rom-com but also my favorite movie of all time! I absolutely adore Ryan Reynolds!
reply

How could they leave out the fight seen in Just Married when she throws the ashtray at him and Peter shows up! Hello Peter!
reply

It would be really nice if you didn't talk through the whole scene. Didn't even get to hear the fake orgasm scene at all.
reply

Every time I think of Cameron Diaz, I always remember that she went to high school with Snoop, and he once sold her weed
reply

Adam Sandler is always at his acting best whenever he is on screen with Drew Barrymore. Love 50 First Dates!
reply

The poker scene in how to lose a guy in 10 days should have been number 2. Even just watching the clips of it kills me.
reply

The Trini Lopez/Dirty Dozen scene where Tom Hanks mocks Rita Wilson in Sleepless in Seattle is hilarious.
reply

Picking the karaoke scene and not the restaurant scene from My Best Friend's Wedding was definitely a choice.
