I will be completely honest. Radcliffe had two villain songs in Pocahontas- Mine & savages. An for its time those are great villain songs. An hunchback of Notre Dame-hellfire isnt underrated. Even yourselves said it was a great ballet song. So how could it be underrated. He also had many villain songs. I love Moana- shiny is not underrated. Its catchy and its good. So it would make it a great villain song. hi diddle dee dee actors life for me. Is not Underrated. It comes nowhere close to that. Painting the roses red. Is not underrated either. Trust in me is not a underrated song either. In the end I disagree that these are underrated Disney villain songs. Because I know for a fact there are other Disney villain songs that are underrated. Some even pointed them out in the comments. But in the end its all based on peoples opinions because people of different generations had a different experience with Disney and the songs that came along. Main characters or villains. Its hard to say whos song is underrated in general.

Honestly, I think 1 & 2 should be switched. Hellfire deserves to be #1 for the sheer fact that it's such a gutsy song due to the lyrics and subject matter Disney would NEVER be able to get away with a song like that in today's PC world and it was pretty risky for them to do it back then too since no one would've expected a song like Hellfire from the family-friendly company in the 90s and it definitely made a lot of parents raise their eyebrows when it was first heard in 1996. We will NEVER hear another amazing Disney villain song like Hellfire, sung with such passion and conviction again. RIP Tony Jay and thank you for bringing one of the most evil villains and one of the most amazing songs in the Disney song library to life. Also, thanks for including my favorite underrated Disney villains songs, Mine, Mine, Mine and The Phony King of England to your list.

Why is Hellfire on this list? It always tops villain songs lists (including your own. No one ever mentions Hunchback without it.
Trust In Me has a lot of covers, the best one (I think) is by the Dead Brothers.
For Jafar, Id have said Youre Only Second Rate from The Return of Jafar. Rather than piggybacking off of Robin Williams zgenei, this song is his own and puts on a display of his now greater power over Genei.
One overlooked for me is Welcome to the Forty Thieves from Aladdin and the King of Thieves. So upbeat and yet somewhat lost. It isnt often henchmen get a song, and it deserves more credit.

I don't know if it counts because it's from the sequel, but I much prefer You're Only Second Rate from the Return of Jafar and wish more people saw it as the difinitive Jafar villain song. Yeah it has it's weird corny moments (like when Jafar brags about how threatening he is in the form of. a thumb) but when you add up everything Jafar stands for I feel like he's much more enjoyable and believable as a comedic villain than an actually threatening. Also, he's so iconic that he deserves to have a villain song that's actually HIS song, not just a reprise of someone else's.

Not really underrated but Hellfire and mother knows best / reprise are the best Disney villain songs, probably biased since I love both of those movies and Gothel and Frollo are the best Disney villains, but still those songs are so good for villain songs. Other songs sound kinda dramatic and over the top, and although the songs I mentioned can be dramatic, it's like a good level of dramatic and it's still subtle enough to be good. Anyway I love those villains and songs.

I get chills every time I hear John Smith's part in Mine Mine Mine All of my life I have searched for a land like this one, a wild and more challenging country I couldn't design, hundreds of dangers await and I don't plan to miss one, in a land I can tame, a land I can claim, the greatest adventure is mine! It's a great way to show us that he's obliviously hopeful and blissfully unaware of what's going on.

As great as Moana is, Shiny is the most overrated part of it. I didn't care for it the first time I heard it, and subsequent viewings haven't improved it. You want a REAL underrated villain song? Go with My Lullaby from Lion King 2. Sure, it's Direct-to-Video, but a lot of the music equals - if not surpasses - the original! My Lullaby is a perfect example (I only regret that Andy Dck is in it)

I see a few people suggesting World's Greatest Criminal Mind, which I agree with, but Goodbye So Soon is even more overlooked and ten times as villainous. Seriously, imagine having to listen to a fond farewell song dripping with sarcasm that your arch-nemesis recorded for you to listen to during your final living moments while he makes his (attempted) getaway. THAT's villainy

The only songs on this list I would change are; Prince Ali Reprise, given the skill of the song and how it actually reflects the distinction between Jafar and Aladdin, Hellfire is more well-recognized and could be replaced with Clopin's (and the gypsy guard's) Court of Miracles as it slowly builds towards the near-execution of Quasimodo and Phoebus

My mom always uses the Mother Knows Best line on my brother and I whenever she's right about something or when her advice and help pays off for us in the end. I like it because she managed to turn a villain song into a fun way of teasing and reminding us that she loves us and will always do her best to help us succeed. Love you Mom!

Gothel is one of the most fascinating and unique villains. The majority of them Want to conquer the World or simply dominate over everything. But Gothel focuses only on Rapunzel and all She wants is endless Access to her hair so She can remain young forever and that's all She wants. She doesn't care about others.

Don't get me wrong, I love all these songs and quite a few are underrated. But, Hellfire and Mother Knows Best are kind of far from underrated. Now for an underrated Disney Villain song, My Lullaby from Lion King 2 is extremely underrated. I personally consider it better than Be Prepared from Lion King

Prince Ali (Reprise) from Aladdin (1992 film, Hellfire from The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1996 film, and Mother Knows Best from Tangled (2010 film) are definitely my favorite underrated Disney villain songs, and I am very glad that these three made it on this list.

Where is Worlds Greatest Criminal Mind? Most underrated villains song ever! Take Hellfire off the list (its one of the best villain songs ever, definitely not underrated) and put Worlds Greatest Criminal Mind there instead and this list would be great.

235: I was hoping that The Worlds Greatest Criminal Mind was going to be on this list. Even like the movies on this list, The Great Mouse Detective is criminally underrated but when you have the legendary Vincent Price as Raitgan, how can you refuse?

My fav Disney villain song is We Don't Talk About Bruno (duh. it's literally a genius and creative song, that the people sing about the villain or the person they think he's the villain. it comes from their perspective, it's a total masterpiece.

features are the real bomb! Friends On The Other Side as everyone else is saying deserves at least a position in The Top Five! Come on!
Shiny I thought was so meh and mediocre it doesn't deserve a place here! Jack's song in TNBC is better!

Ok so first of all Mother Knows Best definitely isn't underrated. How did you not include The World's Greatest Criminal Mind from The Great Mouse Detective? THAT is a fantastic villain song that should have been on this list!

Honestly, I think that Home on the Range is an underrated movie. It is so much fun! I love any of these songs that have a good perky beat. Many have such a fun toon that you can't help but want to sing along.

Can you count a song if it didn't actually make it into the movie? My vote goes to Snuff Out the Light (Yzma's Song) by the legendary Eartha Kitt, written for an early version of The Emperor's New Groove.

Mine, Mine, Mine from Pocahontas (1995) is similar to Gaston from Beauty and the Beast (1991. Both songs show respectively villain's vices (Ratcliffe's greed and Gaston's narcissism.

A bit surprised that The Worlds Greatest Criminal Mind from The Great Mouse Detective isn't on this list. It has to be one of my most underrated Disney villain songs that I know of.

Yeah, Phony King of England is not a Villain song. A Villain song in almost every incarnation is a here am and this is what i do number, and PKoE is a satirical jab.
