And Just Like That. we cringed. A LOT. For this list, well be looking at scenes, themes, and characters that make us grimace and groan and hide our faces from the Sex and the City revival so far! Our countdown includes Samantha deserved better, justice for Steve, Charlotte tells Anthony about Rock, and more! Which AJLT moment made YOU cringe the most?

The whole 2 seasons were a massive cringe and huge disappointment. Satc Miranda would hate and and roast everything about Ajlt Miranda. It just goes to show that Kim was the 1 who carried the show cos without her its terrible. But not just that, its the writing thats awful. N what is up with Charlotte, she acts like a hyper little puppy and just acts and talks nothing like Charlotte did. And Carrie, omg shes just the worst. N poor Steve, y couldnt Steve and Miranda live happily ever after, y do the writers spoil things. I stopped watching mid way between s2, I couldnt handle it anymore and I didnt want to see aiden get hurt again wen they decided to bring him back, just so Carrie can use him fir the 100th time. Kim must be laughing right now, she dodged a bullet x

And Just Like That they ruined what was once the BEST tv show ever. They totally tried to make Seema the new Samantha but only Kim could bring that kind of character to life. And don't get me started on Che. God, what a nauseating arsehole! Just a whiney caricature of a non-binary person who treats people like shit and moans constantly about having to teach people. The original Miranda would have told that piece of shit to sling their hook ages ago. Why couldn't the women we grew to love back in SATC have morphed into even more fabulously independent and funny women? Why did they give us doormat Miranda, a has-been Carrie Bradshaw, and dismiss Samantha as terrible friend who kicked them all to the curb because her feelings got hurt. Give me a break.

I think that the way Anthony reacted when it comes to Rock was perfect. Less is more. It is completely absurd the way Charlotte and her husband reacted when it comes to the school and how fast it all was solved. Anthony and Charlotte's interaction shows how much she loves her 'baby' and just wants to protect her and do the right thing. On the other hand, Anthony (is his Anthony way) calmed her down: let her be, give her space. You will do the right thing - Anthony is an extremely sensitive character, even though he is also self centred. The moment Charlotte really needs help with Rock, he will be there for her.

Anthony's comment about Rock was NOT cringe, it was spot-on. It was actually the one moment in these earlier that have me hope not all was lost in this show. SATC always went against the cultural / politically correct grain, and raised questions that weren't easy or comfortable to answer. That was the greatest thing about it. This spin-off series just shows how terrified the entertainment industry is to have a point of view these days.

I haven't seen a single episode, only clips and let me say, ALL of them are so cringe it's sickening. Why do I need to be preached at about wokeness instead of watching what could have been a lovely series about my favorite characters aging gracefully? Absolutely disgusting! The writers and producers should have just stopped after the first SATC movie. How can these actors even stomach acting these CRINGE scenes without vomiting?
reply

all of it! the new characters, the new version of the old characters, Miranda's kid, Che (most definitely) Anthony's friend, Charlotte's kid Roc, should I continue? I have a whole list. The only excitement I had was seeing Aidan (which wasn't bad) and seeing Samantha! I honestly think that part was filmed separately. That phone conversation didn't take place. It was shot separately.
It was bit sad.

Sorry. Couldnt get past episode 2. Just awful. Unrealistic. Uninteresting. Theyve completely ruined the characters. No way Samantha would have ditched Carrie. No way Carrie would still be relevant (and cook. No way Maranda would completely throw her career away. Lets not even go into the other change. Charlotte - nothing there. New characters are unpalatable. Story lines try way too hard.
reply

I know this is wrong to say but when you rush new characters and storylines and don't give us back stories to those new characters you're suddenly adding and then kill off Big and never talk about him again the the Steve hearing loss make him into an idiot I couldn't even finish just like that that's how much I didn't like it and please with the culture lessons
reply

Are all the writers on this show hopelessly befuddled imbeciles? I feel like they over corrected all the things that aged poorly in the first show. And leanedway too hard into the woke stuff. Its exasperating and exhausting. The comedy is more like public speaking and these people are more like 80 year olds not 50 to 60 year olds.
reply

I really hate the way And Just Like That has to keep making sure we know that Carrie is now rich.
Also, it is irritating how they make male characters really great, and then totally awful at the blink of a plot turn. The males are just plot devices. And, yes, Carrie is totally irritating as a character.

Yea i think the coming out as rock situation showed a true reaction from people. Very real. We l question when things happen and we all are confused about things we font know about. I think it was more powerful that Charlotte didn't accept his first response and pushed to accept rock as rock and not rose.
reply

If they are now talking about everything I would like the show to talk about bad botox, fillers, surgeries and how women in their status feel pressure to do them and sometimes regret it or don't know when/how to stop. Or at least show a bit of how they are dealing with aging and beauty standards.
reply

The worst part is how woke they've gone. I don't care what people do or how they want to represent themselves, but calling women CIS women is offensive. We are women, (biological women) and that's it. There's already a word for what we are, no need to make up new ones. The world has gone mad.
reply

The show looks like a satirical spoof on modern wokism in Hollywood. Except it's not actually a satire but a cringeworthy fest of everything that's wrong with Hollywood. The show writers are completely tone-deaf to think this is entertainment.
reply

The real Miranda would never back to University and less to study human rights, she is a pesimst not a bad person but no her thing.
The thing i most whished was the show focus in characthers carrers.

reply

Kim Cattrall is somewhere laughing her beautiful ass off and you know the show is going to bomb when 30 seconds in theyre already trying to awkwardly explain who we all miss!
reply

Agree re Samantha! Why would Carrie need a PR rep? Even if she uses Samantha for some PR, it would never have been enough that Samantha would care, financially or otherwise.
reply

I loved this show. The original show. The first movie. Ill even add the second movie. The re-boot is nothing like the original. Bigs Death at the beginning said it all.
reply

Nothing wrong with the sari at the end, and Ive had black people mistake me for another white personal, several times. no idea why some choose to use it for pity pull
reply

About Samantha, they could've just said she moved away or something. Really it is so weird Samantha fell off with them. And that too for such a weirded reason
reply

The end of the theymistva with rock was played as a happy moment but all I saw was that rock gave Charlotte a big F U after she tried so hard to support them
reply

My favourite character is Samantha because she is free-spirited. I'm glad the actress did not come back to this hot garbage and got the character dragged too.
reply

The first movie was so so. But the 2nd movie was terrible. They need to stop. Nothing sadder than watching old women trying to look young and act young.
reply

I barely watch the show and everything with the character Che is too much to actually sit down for a full episode. Che is completely cringe and tbh repulsive
reply

For me this show doesn't exist. It's like a souless alternative universe. In my universe there are 4 successful girlfriends who are happy and nobody died.
reply

They gotta make a show of samantha by herself taking over lindon now. New friends. New hookups. Happy. Thriving. Then have carrie beg for her back.
reply

Okay but why do they look soooo old they're supposed to be in their 50s and they were doing so so well for their thirties, looking so much younger.
reply

I stopped watching in season 1 episode 3. Article's pop up on whats happenings and I'm so glad I left. The show is boring and a total disaster.
reply

I love this show. I think Americans just always need something to collectively hate. The ratings have been good so someone is watching
reply

You idiots are criticizing her for wearing indian clothes, yet you call all indian clothes a sari? That is literally not a sari.
