Someone already said it in the comments but Len obvious hate for hip hop is prob why pros don't choreo that anymore as they don't want a lower score. he's very 'teach what you know' so the fact that he does not know always gets in the way of him scoring high on those dances. you can see that even the slightest pop and lock from a jazz or contemporary routine always lowers the score by Len unless its a finale dance where they have to give 10s. so now he's gone there might be hope

They need to consistently do the Fusion dance in every season. And probably a challenge as the second to the last episode and not the last episode which is what they did last season. Bolero, Mambo, and Lindy Hop are also at most of the dancesport competitions I go to, so I would also love to see those dances more on the show.

Ngl, I think it would be fun if Zendaya re-created the hip hop dance with Tom Holland just for funsies for tik tok or something. In hindsight, it's weird to remember her fame was still building momentum at the time & DWTS could afford to cast her. Her & Val's hip hop is too fun to let people forget it exists, tho!

Lacey is literally the princess of West Coast Swing; her dad is considered the King of Swing in WCS circles. I snorted when the judges started nitpicking her choreography - she was literally more qualified than them to judge the merits of the dance (then again, Lance did make a few mistakes.

I much prefer the traditional styles, its suits the source material the show is based on. Otherwise DWTS strays way too far away from the traditional ballroom culture that it claims to represent. This is why Strictly Come Dancing is a better show for ballroom and Latin dance enthusiasts.

Im sorry but I wouldnt like to see Bollywood return. Whenever they do it, I feel disrespected. India has so many diverse dance styles. Focus on one at a time. Dont group it all together because it ends up what Americans assume Bollywood/ Indian dancing is.

But instead the only new thing we got was Mark Ballas returning as a pro, with yup, you guessed it, a young skinny partner with dance background. That's the only type of partner he's capable of dancing to. Hopefully he won't return.

In all honesty if they ever brought hip hop back to dwts I believe that judge Lyn Goodman would have a complete mental breakdown simply because I don't think that he considers hip hop dancing as legit dancing

Agreed. I would love to see Mambo, Hip-hop, Fusion, and Lindy Hop/Jitterbug make a comeback. I would also like to see other styles like Tap or Broadway, thought Tap may be a slight stretch.

West Coast Swing is a fantastic couples dance, and would be great as a regular style on the show, except that not many of the pros and few if any the judges are actually familiar with it.

Where is bangra on the list? that dance was awesome, and trio dances should be number one something about a 3rd person preferably an extra pro makes dances even better.

The still do the fusion dance once in while they did it in season 25 not sure how many seasons after that but they did it in season 30 but not in 31

I think now that Len has retired, we might see more modern dancing styles. I feel that he held DWTS back, using only the traditional style of dance.
