These sitcoms made the workplace fun. For this list, well be looking at the most hilarious and beloved work-centered comedy series ever created. Our countdown includes Veep, 30 Rock, Cheers, and more! What's YOUR favorite workplace sitcom?

One of my favorite episodes of Frasier is called And The Whimper Is. where Frasier and Roz attend an awards ceremony where they have been nominated for their work on their radio show. There's another work-related episode where Roz and Frasier participate in a PBS fundraiser. Roz is working the phone bank while Frasier is failing spectacularly in a hilarious rendition of the song Buttons and Bows. I know Frasier isn't a work comedy, per se, but some really great comedy happened while the characters were at work and work-related events.

I live like an hour or so away from the actual Silicon Valley. Brooklyn99 and the office (us, havent seen enough uk to yay or nay but do like what Ive seen. And news radio are probably my favorites.
I was obsessed with news radio as a kid.
As well as just shoot me and wings. Night court was great too. Love scrubs.

I'll list The Dick Van Dyke Show which was one of the very first workplace sitcoms. It is still excellent! I saw a little of it when I was a little kid and still haven't seen all of it! It is dated in some spots but really hasn't aged! And, as a writer myself, it rings very true!

I'm very elated to see Brooklyn Nine-Nine get a spot in the top 10! It's undoubtedly one of my favourite shows of all time. I'm also glad that their pic was used as the cover photo of this video, it's actually what drew me into watching the video in the first place. Awesome job MsMojo!

Good list overall! I loved that you had The Mary Tyler Moore show! I don't think people today realize how groundbreaking that show was. Oprah sure did! WKRP and Night Court were good shows, but don't rate higher than Superstore and Murphy Brown in my rankings!

I'd also like to mention the show Chuck. Does anyone remember that? The scenes at his day job at Buy More, with his loyal but often clueless co-workers, were pretty funny.
Also, Spin City was really great, at least during the Michael J. Fox years.

Brooklyn 99 at #10? Absurd. Stronger ensemble, sturdier combination of actual, indestructable comedy and more-than-just-social-commentary is not found anywhere in the following entries. And Scrubs over Brooklyn 99? You cannot be serious.

B99, Scrubs, Mary Tyler Moore, Parks. ALL of them I love Superstore and 30 Rock are next on the watch list. As for the Office, I also like but have only watched a few episodes. I'll watch it in full eventually
reply

I knew the office was going to be #1. I never thought it was funny. Glad to see Night Court made the list. I wish they would of had some honorable mentions. I believe Barney Miller could of made that list.

The Mary Tyler Moore show is absolutely my favorite show of all time. My comfort show and just all around a great piece of television, without it I believe we wouldnt have as many of these shows as we do
reply

Superstore is WAY too low. I'd actually put it above Brooklyn 99 and Veep. So iconic and unique. Something that most people can actually relate to either working or shopping in stores like Cloud 9
reply

As soon as we got to number three I knew mash was going to get hosed seriously you don't win best male actor in the comedy series 11 straight years and not be a good comedy show
reply

Fawlty Towers is the greatest comedy ever written.
Surely MASH shouldve been included. Yes it was based in an army hospital, but it was also a workplace

reply

Anyone watching this under the age of 40 needs to go back and start watching Cheers to understand that it is too low on this list (yes, I know it's #2)
reply

In the ninetees there was The thin blue line, a comedy about a policestation with Rowan Atkinson. Unfortunately it only lasted one season.
reply

Scrubs is my all-time fave show. Funny, poignant, and relatable, & amazingly the most realistic medical show according to professionals.
reply

Please please pleeease do a list for best sitcom pets. And if possible a separate list for best sitcom dogs. It would be amazing!
reply

I LOVED Are You Being Served. I grew up watching it every Saturday night on PBS with my family. I thought it was hilarious
reply

Better off Ted, Enlisted and Telenovela are three of my favorites all canceled too early. But amazing comedies each of them!
reply

Limiting this to workplace sitcoms rules out many of the most popular sitcoms, including Seinfeld, Friends, HIMYM & TBBT.
reply

How in the heck can you not include Barney Miller in this list! It was far better than 75% of the other shows listed!
reply

I read the coments and I had a change of heart. Barney Miller should of made this list. It was funny. very much so.
reply

Superstore is a hidden gem Ive seen it twice, and its more hilarious every time! Cant wait to see it again.
reply

Superstore and scrubs were wayyy too low. Also Reno 911 should have at LEAST gotten an honorable mention!
reply

So I guess I gotta tell myself MASH only counts as a war comedy and Barney Miller is just a cop show?
