in german, my language, the film is called dumbledores secrets not secrets of dumbledore, what i kinda understood as albus' secrets. in the english title it makes more sense, since the secrets were also surrounding the other dumbledores. so i was kinda dissapointed in the secrets of albus, like what did we really find out about that? Yeah, you were young, naive, in love and thought you would take over the world together, no shit. you might have killed your sister, not new. the bloodpact can be broken, a surpise, but the explanation? fate, really? when he started to tell newt about ariana, i was so convinced that we're going to see the three ways duell with the young actors (you know i just had this fanmade shortfilm in mind, on the beach, didn't happen. Ohhhh the deluminator can make like a weird mirror world that you can fight in? I'm so exited for the non existent explanation. And what was that with the vote thing? I didn't even know what they were voting for. At first i was like ahhh german ministry of magic. More like boss of the world but no one votes, were just letting a fantastic beast decide. I feel exactly like i felt four years ago, amazed by the acting and special affects, left with many questions about the magic and the story, but excited to get them answered in the next part. i've only seen it once so maybee i missed something. i'm excited for part four, since i'm assuming it will make the 5 year timeskip into the war. hopefully were going to see more of grindeldores youth and the deathly hallows in general. i'm also looking forward for a aurelius and nagini meeting and maybee his death. hopefully more tina next time. i still liked the film tho. thoughts? :)

Since Jacob, Queenie, and his nephew Aurelius aren't mentioned or shown in the Harry Potter Books or any of the companion books JK Rowling wrote; I am predicting all three of them die and I am predicting they will casualties of the Grindelwald vs Albus war in the same way James and Lily Potter, Molly's Brothers were victims during the first Voldemort vs Dumbledore war and Fred, Snape, Cedric, Tonks, Lupin etc. were victims during the the 2nd war against Voldemort. People assume when Harry forces Albus to drink the potion to get the locket the one that makes Albus relive painful memories and he says Kill me People assumed Albus was speaking to Gellert pleading about the three way duel between himself, Aberforth and Gellert, but what if he was pleading for his nephew's life and possibly Jacob and Queenies too? Aurelius dying fighting with his Uncle would explain why Aberforth is still cold towards his brother yet still works with him and helps him, would explain why Nagini all of a sudden switches sides and explains why Newt and Tina do not join the first or second Order of the Phoenix and why Albus doesn't push for their involvement. One would think two people who helped and aided in the downfall of the 2nd greatest dark wizard would be a natural fit to assist and aide in the downfall of the greatest. Keep in mind Nicolas Flamel aids Albus in both conflicts yet Tina an ex Auror and Newt who has stopped Gellert's plans doesn't.

When he says I was never against you. he is talking about his people not D. 3rd, the strong female leads (Tina, Queenie and Nagini) are practically nonexistent or their character has been severely beaten down. Lastly, the long awaited battle between D and Credence which is what this movie was supposed to have been about, was not epic. Dumbledore reached out to Newt (and Jacob) because of their honesty and bravery and even though I will watch these movies repeatedly, this last movie was not great, too many unanswered questions. Mainly, where is Nagini (Kamar is taking care of her or sent her to some jungle he owns for her to roam free. WHY didn't D's brother reach out to Credence sooner? Why wasn't Tina more involved? Queenie came to her rescue in the first movie but she couldn't come rescue her sister? Very bad writing here, but I still love the characters.

Mrs Waterston\Tina killed her own career! She harshly dissed JK Rowlings very publicly & thought too highly of herself & acting skills. She thought she would punish JK & her fans by not appearing in the movie, but that did not age well because she was not missed as much! The movie went on without her just fine! The storyline did not need have much to do with her anyway. I think the Fantastic Beasts movies could just replace this actress and no one would care. We have always been told not to bite the hand that feeds you! I hope Ms. Waterston humbles herself and maybe then she can come back.

Newt apparently said something about aurors and bam she ignored him and acted like a btch, same with Leta&Newt misunderstanding story oh I should have congratulated you and continued to formally address Newt as mister Scamander made me crings. And suddenly she didn't give a shit about her sister, she never looked for or asked for Queenie. She wasn't likeable.

Rowling when it came to opinions of transgender People. Rowling was one of three People who wrote the screenplay to the film. It's very probable that Katherine got a much smaller part because of The Conflict between her and J. K. Rowling. At least I'm glad to see Tina appearing in the end.

The politics of this movie were a mess. Does the US have no influence in the magical world? They're the ones that caught Grindelwald in the first place. They might have something to say about him going up for the leadership role. It also bothered me that Theseus was almost killed by some nefarious secret prison and he, being the head of Aurors in UK, had no way of retribution for this? There didn't seem to be any consequences for anything that happened.

I was really disappointed with this movie. The first one was great, 2nd one average, this one kinda bad Its a shame because the first movie was so good and the series had potential. So many things happen that don't make any sense - like Queenie going over to the dark side - didn't make any sense. I'm okay with Tina not being in the 3rd one. Out of everyone, I her acting not likeable. Besides Newt love interest, she doesn't add to the story. My biggest issue with 3rd movie is Nagini. JKR made it such a huge reveal in the second movie and for her not to show up at all in 3rd was a bummer. Plus I didn't like 3rd movie at all. Nothing about Mads just didn't follow the storylines.

While I liked the movie, my favourite character is Tina, and I want to see her story, and Newt's, primarily. I enjoy Jacob and Queenie as well, but those are the stories I want to see. Even though Jude Law is great, I don't need to see Dumbledore or Hogwarts - I wish the focus could have stayed on Newt, Tina, Jacob and Queenie.

Who cares. JK Rowling is doing whatever she likes. Just remember she forgot and put McGonnagall in a FB film. And who in right mind would write a character like Credence? In first movie, even though his nature was bad, he was a good kid. Then in 2nd movie, nope he is a bad guy. Then in thrid one, nvm he is good again.

I loved it! The special effects, the character of Eulalie Hicks, seeing so many new places, how the Quennie we love is finally back! I wish we could see Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw's common rooms and other wizard schools as Ilvermorny and Beauxbatons at some point after all.

Tina's actress criticized Rowling and got her role reduced cuz Rowling got control over the script like that.
Also asking why did this character do this? in a story written by Rowling is giving her too much credit, even the original books are full of inconsistencies

I saw the movie yesterday and I liked it but I didn't think it was great as good as all the Harry Potter movies were they actually got better as they went along each one was better than the one before that's the way I saw it so I know the next one will be better

I think I know why Dumbledore wanted Newt to help him, he does say a few times in the second movie. Newt is a rare wizard he doesn't want power nor will ever be pushed into wanting it so he is more able to do things like he did in the first & second movie.

they did confirm Dumbledore 's relationship with Grindelwald but I find it kind of funny the why they did it so it could be easily edited out for China, once again showing theses films are only progressive when it wont cost them anything.

I may be wrong but did the woman who was caring for Aurelius survive? If she had died or if she survived, news would likely have reached Aberforth and he would have blamed himself for his sons death along with possibly Aureliuss aunt.

I'm a Hufflepuff, though I sometimes feel like a Ravenclaw.

I loved this movie. It was a back story and answered sooooo mnay questions. It had great special affects and twist and turns. Yes it is a bit slow and more drama then action but some franchisee movies has to have this in them.

I was a little underwhelmed when I saw the movie yesterday. Madds isn't quite the chameleon like Depp is, all I could see was Hannibal Lecter, in mannerism and all. And Credence was resembling a young Snape big time.

A possibility in the Tina controversy is that the Waterston actress came out and said that JK Rowling wasn't a real feminist because she didn't support Trans people. She was the most blatant critic of Rowling.

The really reason why Tina isn't in the 3nd movie is cos she spoke out against JK's comments about trans people so as punishment they wrote her out of this, just as they threw johnny depp under the bus.

Don't forget the baby swap. If he knew about Credence, Aberforth may well have thought he drowned when the ship went down. He wouldn't know that it was actually Corvus LeStrange.
