Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa always ruins his series or other peoples IP when he gets to EP them. The reboot was lame, derivative and disappointing in so many ways. The only thing I liked was the fact they shot the series in upstate NY which made the town more realistic for a blue collar, middle/lower class setting in the rust belt of PA near Pittsburg. The OG series was first filmed in Vancouver for the pilot and then filmed on the same lot as Gilmore Girls, Back To The Future and alot of movies and series. That being said the costumes were horrid and ridiculous!
I didnt believe the parents, specifically the moms were in their late 30s or 40 years old in this series as they wouldve been if the were seniors in HS. 1999 was not 22 years ago, it was 23 years ago. Having gone to NYUs TSOA for my BFA in film and tv, the Wes character is full of crap about how you apply or even have relationships with your professors there. I know suspension of disbelief goes hand in hand with this kind of series, that part was just super annoying amongst other non-factual stuff. The nerve of Roberto mentioning Cole Sprouse and then attempting to make this show part of the Riverdale, Sabrina The Teen Witch universe is so disrespectful to author Sara Shepherd who is the author of the original books/IP. Roberto continues to be rewarded by networks by make bad content. I had to stop watching Riverdale after Luke Perry died. Sabrina was barely watchable during the first season so I quit, but held on that first season for the cast. This reboot was so unnecessary to make. He cant come up with any original show ideas at all. I feel bad for the actresses in this. The all seem like promising talent, but this show wasted them. The young cast of Riverdale all are talented and have been ready to move on since S2. Using the name Archie as one of the As was the EP again obnoxiously reverting back to the fact he makes Riverdale. Making Archie a Jason Voorhees/Michael Myers hybrid was lazy writing too.

I feel like the reboot is much more realistic and horror-based than the original. One issue I always had with Pretty Little Liars was Aria and Ezra's relationship. Ezra groomed Aria and they had them end up together and their families accept their relationship, while Tabby and Wes never get together and she rebuffs most of his advances. And not only that, but the girls' friendships seem to have more prominence than their romantic relationships and really, Imogen didn't even have a romantic interest beyond Chip, who turned out to be a creepy rapist freak. And not only that, but SPOILER Imogen fighting and nearly killing Archie while protecting her baby was so awesome. Like she's really a Final Girl like they said.

Im not a huge fan of the OS series so far. However, Im still going to keep watching and hopefully it better. So far, I am not as addicted as when the original PLL aired. When OG PLL aired, after each episode, it wanted me wanting more. This new series doesnt have the same effect. Hopefully it gets better. If by mis season it doesnt get better, I wont continue. The new show is not as scary as everyone says it is. It wants to be but its but falls short. I feel like they need to step it up to be an actual horror/slasher show. So far its eh

So its not just a coincidence that Imogene looks just like the actress who played Sabrina
I also need to add that PLL wasnt a bad show! We lived in different times for gods sake. If the created had the opportunity to get their show on Netflix, they wouldve done so. And btw the show had 20+ episodes and lasted for 7 seasons, who knows if the reboot will get that far. Streaming also means easier ways to get axed

I love the new show, but I think it wouldve been better if it had more of a connection to the original. I personally think it wouldve been amazing if the new main characters were the daughters of the original liars. Everythings normal, they have kids and happy lives and then BAM! Their daughters start receiving A texts and it starts again. But, again I do love this series and I think theyre doing a good job.

Scariest part about this show (imo) is that the moms were in high school in 1999 watched the original PLL in high school/college. I feel very old now (& Im not old) haha. Also, it seems like the new series gets a little cringey with the over emphasizing toxic masculinity and such. Its unnecessary but I get thats how shows are now.

This show is more a Scream the TV Show remake than a PLL show. It even has the same premise. A person in a mask goes around killing and terrorizing people associated with a group of high schoolers who's parent/parents had something to do with a crime from their high school days.

It would have more sense a top 10 similar things, because the new one has practically nothing to do with the OG, is not bad, i enjoyed it, but if you change the A on the messages for any name, and ignore Rosewood trama, it easily can be renamed to anyway wihtout noticing.

I feel like original sins has a lot of horror movie references in it! Because the flashback scene before the dance at the end was Carrie all the way! Then there was Scream, Breakfast Club, HalloweenI think its great! Very nostalgic. Nothing can beat the original tho

I will always love PLL but this show is fast-paced, in your face, dark, and unpredictable. If PLL is the prom queen, then OS is her foul-mouthed, slightly unhinged little sister. The 12-year age difference between these shows could not be more apparent.

Totally amazing video of comparing pretty little liars and original Sin ms mojo, fantastic job. I love pretty little liars franchises, I got into PLL in season 2 got hooked right way, ever since then love everything about the pretty little liars world too.

I love the new series The boyfriend characters are kinda all the same and the chemistry between the girls is not as good as the original. But this show is more realistic, mature, and the plot doesnt feel as far fetched as the original.

This show seems more grounded in reality than the previous one. For instance, while PLL romanticised Aria and Ezra's entire relationship, even having them end up together, Tabby rightfully finds Wes' advances towards her to be creepy.

Normally remakes turn out bad like roswell and charmed. Im really impressed that the original sins is actually really good. its more serious and gruesome than the original tv show. The original was more a romantic drama.

What I like about Original Sin is that the cast look like actual teens, no shade to the original PLL I love all of them but they're adults playing teens, Sasha was the only teen in the cast in season 1 lmao

I watched the first few episodes of Pretty Little Liars: The perfectionist and I think pll: Original Sin is a lot better and more interesting. But obviously nothing can beat the original.
