Disney remakes are releasing every single year. And people criticize them for being nowhere near as good as the original, having ugly CGI, being shot for shot retellings, and having little personality to them. Also not to mention people are just getting tired of the Disney remakes. I just think they don't know how to make movies anymore and that's evident with them buying Fox and the Disney remakes releasing every single year. Not to mention with remakes like Lion King, Mulan, Pinocchio, Dumbo, and Lady & The Tramp, they honestly have no idea as to why people loved the original movies at all.

The little mermaid really does need a remake. The cartoon has so many terrible messages like making bad choices such as endangering others will get you to live happily ever after. I am really hoping that the remake gives Ariel better redemption arcs and have her realize that her recklessness has consequences by giving her a wake up call. And she needs to learn to accept that the world doesn't always give you everything you want. The cartoon seems to show that she'd rather have everyone killed than not have what she wants.

Im excited to see the hunchback remake. I wonder if itll be like the stage musical while also taking a few elements of the book and the animated film.
I could see Tom Holland, Josh Gad, or Jeremy Jordan as Quasi
Zendaya, Aulii Cravalho, Rachel Zegler, H. E. R, or Ariana Debose as Esmeralda
Ansel Elgort, Harry Styles or Cody Simpson as Phoebus
Hugh Jackman, Norm Lewis, Jonathan Freeman (Jafar) or Jeremy Irons as Claude Frollo

For The Black Cauldron, I wouldn't see a movie as a remake, but a series. Back then, Disney tried to cram all the Prydain books into one movie, and thus reduced the lore to mincemeat, the characters have been dulled down drastically, and the humor was despicable. Plus (and this is my personal imagination, if they could bring back Tim Burton to direct it, and make it stop-motion, this would be a big success!

On May 10, 2022, it was reported that Lindsey Beer has finished writing the script for the live action Bambi film.
I hope it will be WAY better than the horror adaptation Bambi The Reckoning.
I also hope they add a bear in the film since bears didn't appear in Bambi. Why wouldn't they add bears in Bambi? They're common in the wild.

3: 28 to 3: 48, Rachel Zegler is a crazy woke anti-police activist who will never be the live-action Snow White. Mary Jo Salerno, who played Snow White in the stage adaptation at Radio City Music Hall, perfectly nailed the character's mannerisms and personality. She will always be the live-action Snow White not Zegler.

Disney is pissing me off more and more cause they keep changing iconic character. I might stop supporting Disney and not buy anything Disney anymore and getting rid of my Disney+ subscription. Everyone needs to not watch any of the new movies so Disney can see how much we hate what they did changing iconic movies

The Little Mermaid better be good because all these live actions have been bombs (minus Cinderella and Cruella) and if they're really going to insist on live action remakes, it better be FRESH and FUN because I'm tired of these carbon copy cash grabs that only change two scenes to justify it as a remake!

I cant wait for The Little Mermaid remake! I hate people bashing the film just because of race. I understand people hating more movies being remade but the only reason it is getting hate is just because of race. To me the movies underwater scenes look amazing and Halle looks beautiful as Ariel.

Is MsMojo living under a rock or just dishonest when they claim there was some criticism regarding a remake of LILO & STICH but at the same time claiming that Little Mermaid's casting is convincing! The trailer of Little Mermaid has three times more dislikes than likes. Say no more.
reply

I'm hoping for a Live adaptation of Princess and The Frog with a ginger actress, so all the people who criticize the critics of Ariel's casting are exposed as hypocrites. I don't wanna hear anything about white-washing since it is about the best actor for the role, isn't it?

And while I am not the biggest fan of Disney Remakes admittedly, I am genuinely curious about that Snow White remake with Greta Gerwig writing, Lin Manuel Miranda's Little Mermaid and ESPECIALLY! A possible Atlantis Remake, even though that is just a rumour
reply

This makes me sad. It signals the death of originality. Disney will spiral in a never ending vortex of recycled works for generations and generations. With the rights to these stories what else can they do?
reply

I really want live actions of the black cauldron and Atlantis but the black cauldron may make a better limited series than a movie.
And a princess in the frog would be a great live action.

Do more all live action remake but the same story line and the music in All live action remake s ok I want more and song in the south in live action and sleepy hollow 1949

I don't care what happens to the lesser Disney animation movies, and, there may actually be room for improvement. We'll see. The situation has been real hit or miss, so far.
reply

I dont care what rating it ends up with, I would LOVE to see a live-action version of The Hunchback of Notre Dame. Its one of my top 3 all time favorite Disney classic films

7: 13 im a 39 year old man and I see what I see. This is Chills running down my spine. I don't care that it was a children's classic film for 4-6 year olds. This is art!
reply

They better not ruin my favorite movie Little Mermaid. It has been my favorite since I was little. If they do, Im flying to the studio and rioting peacefully of course
reply

I Think that Cruella 2 will be a Retelling of 101 Dalmatians but I Hope not because I want to see Cruella De Vil get Redeemed in Cruella 2 not Return to being a Villain
reply

Could you do rewrite Peter pan from animated 1953 in live action and Mulan from animated 1998 in live action and the jungle book from Animated in action
reply

Considering how reception to the live action movies have been mixed, Im remaining skeptical, but hold out hope that at least one of these movies will be good.
reply

Nobody wants the little mermaid live action remake and they better not touch Hercules the Animated movie Disney is known for packing up live actions.
reply

Here's an idea: an Original live-action adaptation of AN ORIGINAL STORY. So many stories in the world. Why do we keep recycling the same handful?
reply

I seriously feel like DylanisinTrouble should play Milo if the Atlantis remake is actually going to happen.
but that might just be me tho.

reply

I think two more movies need to be coming to live action. Atlantis, the lost Empire and treasure planet, the emperors, new groove, and Tarzan.
reply

Disney classics should be left alone!
Would you straight the leaning tower of Pisa? No! Leave them alone. Or at least don't improve on it

reply

I hope they will make a real live action movie of the Rescuers 1 and 2 and Oliver and co and The hunchback of Notre Dame.
reply

Which Disney Live-Action Remake has the most potential?
NONE OF THEM! They have all been consistently awful. MAKE IT STOP!
