Gawwwd, my mom and I LOVED Cow and Chicken! (She also loved her some Johnny Bravo. Looking back, I still don't know how that show got past the censors with stuff like calling a woman Nurse Nymphet and worse)
I thought I was a lot older when BITBBH was on TV, but I was around 8 or 9 and enjoying it, trying to transition to Homeschooling and watching it in the morning.
Never got up early enough for Bananas in Pyjamas, but-and it probs doesn't count-watched the OG Littlest Pet Shop cartoon often. (We got a couple in-jokes out of it. To this day I still haven't found the episode where Stewie the dog was screaming NO! I WILL NOT WEAR AN EARRING AND BE YOUR VALENTINE! The internet has forgotten this show existed, it might not be even on TV Tropes. Disheartening all around)
Many of these were so lit and still rewatchable. Yay for cartoons!

OMG! If Teletubbies was on in the 1980's when I was little, it wouldn't have kept my attention! It's so lame! Shows such as Sesame Street and Mister Roger's Neighborhood kept my attention more than a show like Teletubbies ever would! That show would have been an insult to my above average preschool intelligence and that's saying something because I was raised by an elementary school teacher! I knew letter sounds, many site words, numbers up to twenty, colors, shapes, I could write my name, I could tie my shoes, button buttons, do my snaps, I knew my phone number, my address, and my parent's full names! This show looks horrible! It seems as if the Teletubbies had a very limited vocabulary which isn't good because you want to teach kids lots of new, age appropriate vocabulary words!

I love the bear in the blue house show, except from those shadow stories, those are / where messed up.
I was not allowed to watch Cartoon Network. Never liked Pingu that much but did like Teletubbies for a while.
All the other shows mentioned I have never seen at all, but I think the walking banana's are cute. I have a plushie of that.

I'm surprised Oobi wasn't on this list. It's a show about hand puppets without the fabrics, with only the eyes on the talking hands, talking in limited speech and they surprisingly had a musical episode. I've known people who were creeped out by the fact that the Swedish Chef from the Muppets had actual humans hands.

When an art therapist left my mental health program I suggested playing the extended version of the Bear in the Big Blue House goodbye song. My friend looked at it and said that it looked like an acid trip. Orange bears, purple otters, a blue mouse, a green lemur and a talking moon. Fair assessment.

Anybody know this one show that's seems like clay animation idk even know if it's a real but I remember they skip school and go into a hunted house to then be chase by a monster I swear it was way ahead of its time I was like 6 when I watched it

PeeWee's Playhouse, PeeWee' Big Adventure, Big Top PeeWee. they're all nostalgic classics! Mecca Lecca High Mecca Hinee Ho! Ren & Stimpy had a strange and gross humor, didn't really seem like it was for kids but it had some hilarious moments!

As a kid I remember watching tots TV, playdays there was a girl named Lizzie who sung and she petrified the audience, slow norris I remember loving the older Noddy series throughout my younger childhood he was my hero

Bear in the Big Blue House was normal in comparison to a lot of shows. Why wasn't Wiggles on this list, some of their songs were way out there with the amount of odd characters they added.

Apparently my grandparents were visiting our house when I was like 3 while I was into Boobah. My grandpa had never heard of it until then, and his sole reaction was what the hell is this?

Bear in the Big Blue House is my childhood, I was born on the 5th of July 2008 and I remember sometimes watching it on Playhouse Disney UK with my mum.
Ahh the nostalgia.

If this was Australian, Mulligrubs would be no 1 on the list. Used to freak me out as a kid. I was a late teen when Angela Anaconda came out and I freakin loved that show!
reply

For me it would be Fetch and Pajanimals. I also remember seeing something about these animals in space or something but that could have just been an actual dream I had lol

There is a literal penguin game that I think was made in that exact theme as that claymation cartoon Pengu which makes it ten times better and ten times funnier

There were also a few other trippy kids shows I vaguely remembered. Oobi? Homestar Runner? That one McDonalds cartoon that was produced by Klasky Csupo?

To be fair I thought bananas in PJs was a wierd reoccurring fever dream because the only time I would dream about it would be when I would get a fever

My brother, who hardly likes to read, consumed all of the Ms. Spider books like they were candy back in the 90s. They ARE pretty cute. XD

All these and you missed Mr. Blobby. I know it never made it across the pond but the clips I've seen are terrifying.
