Then there are also the ones that are given a chance to live, but refuse, and die. Here are some, for example, Frollo, when he fell over the edge and Quasi had him by his robe, he could have let him go and drop him, but he didnt he hung on to him. But Frollo had to get up on that gargoyle thing, and try to kill him in instead fell to his death after crumbled. Then there was tired Tarzan and who warned Clayto that he was cutting all of the vines to the point where it was wrapping around his neck, and he didnt listen, and he died by hanging. Then, as was mentioned when the beast was going to kill Gaston, but let him go. Instead he came back to stab him and lost his balance and fell. There was also Kiara when she tried to help Zira, and offered her paw but Zira batted it away, and felt to her death.

Two more honourable mentions:
- Skinner from Ratatouille tries to hide the evidence that Linguini is Gusteaus son and rightfully owns the restaurant. But Remy eventually gives the documents to him and Skinner is fired, as a result.
- Bowler Hat Guy from Meet the Robinsons believes hes already won when he steals Lewis Memory Scanner to destroy his dreams and ruin his future. But Lewis successfully manages to prevent the bad future, after fixing the time machine and revealing Doris true colours to Goob and promising never to invent her.

As much as I love that moment when Cinderella pulls out that other slipper I must admit that I always wonder why if Cinderella has the other slipper shouldn't that be enough to prove that she is the one without having to put it on first? Lol
Well, still it makes the moment more beautiful when it actually fits her, they want to be in the wonderful moment, and I guess there's also the argument that she miraculously found it elsewhere or something. XD

Hades probably didnt even know what was required for Hercules to reclaim his status as a god. Zeus knew, but he knew that outright telling Hercules would only make him attempt to give up his life for another, knowing that he would not die would make the act pointless. The willingness to give his life for another must be a choice that he made regardless of the outcome.

I thought for sure the Evil Queen in Snow White would get the top spot. She celebrates too early not once, but twice, first when she poisons Snow White only to have the dwarves return and later when she thinks she has loosed the boulder on the dwarves only to fall to her death. Such a great scene. Scared the bejeezus out of me when I was a kid.

Gloating monologues, underestimating their foes, incompetent henchmen, not confirming the kills, dismissing something they view as irrelevant when it turns out to make all the difference, failing to notice crucial details, assuming an enemy is going to die from a scenario involving a death trap or such. am I missing anything?

Im so happy to see Mother Gothel on this list. I hate her so much because of how she sees Rapunzel as a tool rather than a beautiful young woman (if you see her backstory in the series, youll hate her even more. Wish she was higher on the list but who am I to judge? Am quite intrigued by the other entrants.

A much cooler Incredibles 2 sequel would be if Jack Jack WAS raised by Syndrome in an alt. universe and had to fight a hero in villain version of himself with maybe like an interdimensional villain being. Maybe like Voyd. Being a villain.
But no that would actually require an original story.

They either celebrate too early and die, or reject the help that the protagonist offers them of one last chance but refuse it and die. Also I think Frollo and Ursula should have been I the honourable mentions. And last thing I always loved that expression Lady Termain makes at 13: 43.

Farquaad: Mirror, mirror on the wall. Is this not the most perfect kingdom of them all?
Magic Mirror: Well, technically, youre not a king.
Farquaad: Uh, Thelonius.
Thelonius: (threateningly smashes a mirror.
Farquaad: You were saying?
Never gets old!

3. Ernesto De La Cruz's Final Concert

For Tangled, I'm just glad Gothel never found out that Rapunzel's hair, was just an extension of her healing powers. The source of the power, was inside Rapunzel the whole time! Which she finds out, when the power through her tears, brings Eugene back to life

Eris Goddess of Chaos creeped me out as a kid. Rasputin is my favorite Animated Villain but yes he celebrated too early. Interesting fact. If you look closely at Gastons eyes as hes falling to his Death youll notice skulls in his eyes.

5: 40 Would have won if he just let Hercules leave. The deal was that Hercules can save his girl if he takes her place, it wasn't a bet, Hercules would've given up his godhood in the end only to be dragged down to that pit.

Yzma.
She underestimated the fact that her trap door led to a conveniently located window and Kronk randomly opening it squashing her against the wall and allowing the potion to land In Pacha's hands.

Whoa whoa whoa, wait a minute. What about Frollo in Hunchback of Notre Dame about to kill Esmeralda and Quasimodo only to have the gargoyle beneath him crumble? Thought that would make the list for sure

Another honorable mention - Bill Cipher from Gravity Falls
Since he was tricked into entering Grunke Stan's mind and upon knowing it. He was already being erased from Grunke Stan's mind by Ford.

Frozen may not be the first disney movie where the girl saves the day. But it is the first to show a girl who is in need of rescuing, saving the day, and actually sacrificing her life in doing so.

I don't think it's fair to call Rapunzel her adopted daughter lol I don't think there is an appropriate term for this relationship that exists other than the basic one of abductor and abductee.

This might not count but an honorable mention would be Plankton from the first SpongeBob Movie, he thought he won, he thought he had everyone under his control. If not for the titular character.

Villains in all media should have check every possiblity to insure that their evil plans go off without issue but they never do that and that leads to their downfall

I think Edgar missed a very crucial part of the cats inheriting the fortune, since they are just cats, he will very likely be kept in charge of the fortune.

Scars actions are brutal but Ernesto De La Cruzs actions are way beyond bad. He poisoned his friend, stole his songs and become famous. Remember me, not
