I'm disappointed that the rendition of Being Alive by Dean Jones, the original Bobby in Company, was not included. His rendition is by far the most gut wrenching performance of Being Alive recorded, especially considering he was going through a nasty divorce at the time and the emotional toil was the reason he had to quit the show.

Seems like an American centric list. Im not a Broadway expert but I dont know half the songs on this especially the top ones (not the productions theyre from. Nothing from the phantom or other Andrew Lloyd Webber productions. Certain other songs from Les Mis certainly sounded better than some of those listed.

Satisfied? What a joke- such recency biasnobody will be signing this non melodic rap music in twenty yearspop culture even for Broadway. as for dream Girls? this is Broadway shouting at its worsenothing from South Pacific, showboat, sound of music, Oklahoma? this list is gen z nonsense.

Top 10 Broadway Songs are a tough call. This list, especially the #1 selection is off. Title songs from Les Mis, Phantom, Wicked, Miss Saigon, West Side Story, and Parade are better #1 choices. However, the biggest error was NOT awarding Wicked as best Musical in 2004, what a joke!

How can you leave out Fiddler on the Roof, If I Were a Rich Man, just to name one of so many classics from this show. Also was this prepared for before Phantom of the Opera, the master of them all except for Roger and Hart, Hammerstein, et al.

Nice choices, but Soliloquy from Carousel pulls every ounce of Billy Bigelow's life and feelings for us all to see and feel. I'm surprised you ignored it. Then add the wonderfully powerful voice of John Raitt and the audience is transported.

Look, the video title leads you to believe youll listen to clips from these songs. The constant commentary spoils it. Were not looking for explanations. Were looking to listen to the beautiful music you advertise in the title

Hamilton vastly overrated. Sondheim was a great lyricist but no tunesmith. How can you overlook If I Loved You from Carousel? The reprise at the end is the most heartbreaking moment in musical theatre. And its a wonderful song.

Seriously, there are many choices, but even the Les Miz composers acknowledged Lionel Bart for letting know it is possible to adapt a literary classic to musical, so not picking a song from there is pretty ignorant.

I loooovvvveeeee Hamilton, BUT Satisfied does not belong on this list. There are many more Broadway songs that are epic that arent on this list. I think Lin-Manuel Miranda would agree with me.

These are all incredible and powerful songs but the commentary is disappointingly and sometimes (as in Memory) completely off base in its interpretation of itsmeaning within the play.

well, we know who picked these top 3 songs. and it wasn't because they were the best. cause you wanted to make a statement. You don't hear these top picks on the sidewalk every day.

Broadway AND London West End! Les Miz or Cats are West End productions (you even used the London performances. And I don't even know what Cats's movie version is doing here.

Obviously 10 was just not enough, and though I find no fault with any of the choices, Id love to have seen at least a mention for What I Did for Love from A Chorus Line.

I know it wasn't done on Broadway, but Luther Vandross's version of The Impossible Dream is sublime. He had one of the most perfect voices I've ever heard.

Satisfied would have been replaced with my shot. 3 of your honorable mentions would have been in the piece and your number one would have been thrown out.

Mostly relatively new musicals? None from the past? I Won't Send Roses, Something's Coming, Anything Goes, I've Never Been in Love Before, to name a few.

Lost me on several of them. Sunday #1? Being Alive #2? Couldnt disagree more. Old Man River is far more impactful and so many others. Very odd choices.

The Impossible Dream - been sung by many but only one brought me and my husband to total tears - Jim Nabors. Youll never be the same after hearing him.

I always ignore these Broadway Top Twenty lists because they almost always exclude anything from before 1970, the Golden Ages of Broadway musicals.

Not Jeff here. My fave is I Know Where I've Been from Hairspray. Incredibly moving and powerful. If you haven't heard it, stop right now and do it!

When the last name on that Grammy tribute was Sondheim's I lost my grip. And then follow it up with Season's of Love? Demmit! these leaky eyes.

Absolutely thrilled to see Sunday get the top slot! That giant street choir singing it in the wake of Sondheims death wrecks me every time.

Maybe I'm biased, but I find Hold Me In Your Heart from Kinky Boots to be one of the most touching and beautiful songs of any genre.

Ridiculous! Nothing from Phantom of the Opera made the list? Not even honorable mentioned? Whoever made this video is a fool.
