MOJO did you know some years ago after corpse bride Burton was rumoured to make a Addams family in stop motion animation & didn't you notice in the 2021's animated movie Addams family there were tons of Tim Burton refers to his other movies such as Edward Scissorshands's house on the hill, the characters designed in his style, (when we first see the house that would become Morticia & Gomez family home) there was blood coming out of the walls (the dark shadow) one of the addams woman looks like the weird girl in Frankenweenie? So my point tim burton & the addams family have been in the works for along time it was just waiting for the right time for the pair to come together.

This show is my favorite right now! It has the perfect mixture of spooky, mystery, and all together creativity with the dark aesthetics as well as the colorful ones! It has provided so much new perspective inside the real Wednesday, and I love how the whole story line is based on this mystery near a school of outcasts. So many people could relate to this character in the first place but Tim Burton really knows how to shed an even blacker light on the ever changing personality of W. A!
Plus I'm an absolute sucker for soundtracks and this was was incredible!

I bet you anything that when they approached Luis Guzman about taking the role of Gomez Addams, he was probably hesitant at first being he definitely looks different than the previous actors that played Gomez. But then they mentioned something like. If you take this role, you will be in some scenes where you will be kissing the actress playing Morticia Addams. Luis. Who's playing Morticia Addams? Catherine Zeta-Jones. If you need some time to think. Luis. ILL DO IT! I'LL TAKE THE PART! YOU DONT EVEN NEED TO PAY ME, I'LL DO IT FOR FREE!

9. 34: I totally respect the fact that she took up cello lessons to learn about the instrument, no hate to Ortega, but there is absolutely NO WAY that was a recording of her playing Paint it Black! She probably learned some positions and how to make her playing look technically convincing on screen, but you highly underestimate how hard it is to play the cello if you think she could learn to play like that in a few months.

I love Jenna and I love Wednesday.
But her German isn't THAT good. It is recognizable as German, but as a German myself, I can barely understand anything (even on multiple re-watches.
Yet there is one excuse that I can make - and maybe that's what it is supposed to be like:
The scene takes place at the pilgrim's theme park. So one could say that this isn't supposed to be modern German but 16th-17th century German.

I dont know why but while watching this show I just figured Thing was actually the hand of a person with a full bodysuit. Not CGI or animatronics. I had no reason to think this considering I didnt even know the original Thing was played by a person as well before this video because Ive never really watched the franchise. I just basically guessed and thought of it as facts and never thought any different lol.
reply

Thing wouldn't be nearly as good and expressive if it was CGI, you can obviously make a CGI hand but you can't make it so natural and expressive like Thing is. I think his whole character relies on being something way more than just a hand in a hand form, and his movements, mannerisms etc show that well. If it was CGI it wouldn't have this effect and he'd feel like just a severed hand with much less of a personality.

I just hope if it's possible Tim Burton & netflix (addams family crew) will try get the last two remaining actors Lisa loring & John Ashton to make appears for the 2nd season that way it'll make extra speacil by having the original cast & former cast members from both TV & movies of the addams family come together (that's if of course John is well & fit enough to appear on the set)

Her saying 258 in English rather than attempting the German made me laugh. I don't blame her for giving up on that part, German is HARD, haha! She also apparently speaks German with an extremely thick Spanish accent, although my American ears can't hear it. Her learning to play cello really impressed me. It's an instrument I've always wanted to learn.

I know that they went for the cartoon version of gomez and morticia but then they ruined the characters, how can the queen of darkness be a dive and have positive visions as she is all about lightness.
Wednesday, pugsley ect they got right.
I ended up watching it as a Wednesday programme and not an addams family programme.

Really enjoyed this show and so glad Tim Burton is back! Am I the only one, or did the lady dropping off the Hyde victim in the first episode make me think of Large Marge from PeeWee's Big Adventure? I would love to hear about any callbacks to Burton movies anyone spotted.

4: 45 It's interesting watching Thornhill tell Wednesday about 'destiny' and 'renewal'. They are tied to those concepts. Thornhill's plans involve the 'renewal' of witch hunts to eradicate all Outcasts, while there is a prophecy that Wednesday's 'destiny' is to prevent it.

Respect to Victor Dorobantu and the crew for the new thinking of how to get Thing to come to life!
Also respect to Jenna Ortega for how she prepared for the role and how she performed it! I am so hopping for a next season!

funny how excited she was with the carrie prom prank the boys did, only to be disappointed and horridly pissed off that it isnt even real blood. she looked almost as disappointed as she was when she was kidnapped/abducted

5: 05 you cannot describe the adrenaline rush that I felt upon hearing the golden voice that the man who played Die-Hardman
Sorry if this sounds creepy, Tommie, but that's both the fan and real girl talking.

Wednesday is a crazy show. There are twists and turns you wouldnt see coming. Its cool knowing theyve used brilliant effects to fully convey the whole mood/atmosphere of the show itself.

I noticed the Easter egg when do therapist was putting away another decorated rat I saw theres a clown that was dressed up as Pennywise from the 1990s movies from Stephen kings it
reply

I really didnt like the actor for Gomez and morticia. I feel like apart it would have been great but if they kept demi for morticia another gomez should have played or vis versa
reply

That was German?
I thought it was Finnish or Norwegian. I am German. That's why I didn't understand it as german!
Either way. It was very convincing to me, as Finnish

I love how much dedication Jenna Ortega put into playing Wednesday Addams. I also love how Gwendoline Christie towers over everyone else in the series, she's so imposing
reply

I really love how Thing was created via using a practical effect, and not CGI. Victor Dorobantu really brought Thing to life brilliantly, or rather, his hand did!

Am I the only one that wants to know what made Edgar Allen Poe an outcast? I like to think he was a vampire but I could see an argument for werewolf
reply

I feel so lucky I get to see the greenhouse from Wednesday every time I go to my classes at university ( even went to see the set with my teachers.
reply

the big WOW! fact for me was the filming location was in Romania, reminds me of the TV series western Hatfields & McCoys - 2012 also filmed in Romania.
reply

So Thora Birch backed out of Wednesday and Hocus Pocus 2, but had no issues doing a basic lifetime movie? She's making terrible career choices
reply

Jenna Ortega did a great job on Wednesday Addams. I hope that she, the rest of the casts and Tim Burton will continue making the series.
reply

Wait I just realized something. Christina Ricci was OG Wednesday, which means that Wednesday tried to kill Wednesday.
reply

They aren't gargoyles. They are grotesques. Gargoyles act as drainage outputs for rainwater. Grotesques are purely ornamental.
reply

As German I couldn't understand a word she said in the scene you mentioned xD but it didn't matter for me: )
