Some actors get removed from the show, but one episode of The Simpsons got removed for having Michael Jackson in it. They obviously can't fire him after the episode has been out, but if his voice bothers him so much they could always just dub it over. He's not even playing Michael Jackson, only a character that thinks he's Michael Jackson, and he wasn't even credited. Even if such accusations in a documentary speaking ill of the dead are true, was it really necessary to remove the episode, does his voice taint the entire thing. Better not see anything with Kevin Spacey on Disney Plus then, but now that I think about it they are okay with Alice in Wonderland despite all the Lewis Carroll stuff

In all reality, people need to stop being offended by every little thing that's said. And stop with the hero worship/idolization of celebs. I don't care what actors do in their private lives as long as it doesn't hurt others physically.
People being removed for substance abuse while the most popular show at the time is about a meth kingpin. Somebody made a racist/homophobic statement? What ever happened to sticks and stones? Remember that? Words will never hurt me.
Let the backlash begin.

And just last year, the actor that played the dad on The Goldbergs was fired and his character killed of. I like the Goldbergs, but hearing of his behavior on the show off camera made me realize that they did the right choice in firing him. I like the Conners better than the revival of Roseanne. so no offense but her firing and the spinoff was a blessing in disguise for me. It can be a shame that the actors do this to themselves to get fired, but acting on a show is their job and responsibility.

In Roseanne's case, I'm almost positive there was more going on than the excuse they used for canning her. She spoke about the misunderstanding. She did not even know the race of the person she allegedly offended. Still, I would be willing to bet there was more to her firing than that. Also, the show was based on her personal life. She should have sued the people in charge for continuing it without her.

Why. do all these OBVIOUSLY talented actors & actresses do anything more than do the hard job. of just ACTING. that in it self is a full time job. Just because they are good at entertaining all of us. doesn't mean they are smart enough or intelligent enough to run a Country or tell their fans how to do so too. They can't even keep their marriages on track! LOL

You know. I find it amazing how these celebrities think that because theyre rich and have fame they can say whatever the hell they want. Only to be hit by reality when their words and actions comes back to bite them and gets them kicked off the shows that help them become famous in the first place.

I always wondered what happened to Hotchner. He just disappeared from the show and the excuse of the show, Hotch and Jack went into witness protection.
I'm honestly surprised Gibbs wasn't written off NCIS as much as it hurts me to say that, as he is known to be difficult to work with.

It still bothers me that RDJ was fired from Ally McBeal. Season 4 is the only one I watch and it's cause of him and his relationship with Calista Flockhart's character. If the show ever gets brought back, I hope he will return, so we can finally see Larry and Ally get married.

Actors hit the million dollar jackpot when they are lucky enough to be on a hit show! Look at FRIENDS, in a couple of years they went from being mostly unknowns paid scale for their work, to demanding (and GETTING) millions per show!

I grew up watching roseanne and when it was rebooted it got better. To me when the show was focused on the family around roseanne it was a much better episode and when she was removed all together it brought fresh air to the show

Im sure some of these shows were affected by the actors leaving (doesnt matter how, manly due to story lines they wanted to tell and/or how abruptly they left, but they found someway to work it into the show.

Strange that Billy Cosby and the TV actors/hosts swept by the 2017 MeTo scandal weren't on this list. Those were pretty huge.
