I feel pretty torn when it comes down to the Harry Potter movies to be honest.
On the one hand I agree with everyone that they are such classic movies that should never be touched.
But on the other especially with the later Harry Potter films that weren't always the best I feel like it deserves a reboot.
I understand that movies can't fit everything that a book holds but I have always been extra curious to see what it would actually be like if the series was made into a TV series instead.
Imagine each episode filling in the missing pieces that the books had that the original Harry Potter movies didn't have.
That would be amazing! EEP! :)

Mission Impossible itself is a reboot, not once but twice already, before Cruise. This is by far the easiest franhise to reboot. Just skip Ethan Hunt the character and the rest works itself out. Weird to put on this list. Another wierd choice is John Wick, I also don't think should be rebooted, but that's pretty much the same as rebooting Rocky. Keanu is John Wick and Sly Stallone is Rocky.

Unfortunately, there is now a Harry Potter Reboot TV Series it seems. I'll 'Always' stay strong with the original no matter what! I do agree it would be cool to see more from the books that weren't shown, but the movies were already made and a huge success. No matter what happens with the reboot, the original will remain classics!

I would probably be able to get behind a new Back to the Future trilogy that starts in 2022, and has the protagonist go back to 1982 and ahead to 2062 and then back to 1862. It could star a young female of color, and she could help turn the tide in the Civil War, explaining how the Union won with so much working against them.

I really wish and hope they don't reboot Star Wars.
Sure,
It has it's ups and downs when comes to movies, some tv shows,
But even some of it's downs can also be forgiven, understandable, reasonable, meaningful and even pleasant and appreciative over time.
So yeah,

Totally disagree with Harry Potter, and this comes from a big fanboy, the movies weere nowhere near perfect and so much stuff got TOTALLY ignored in the movies, anyone that is actually a fan of the books knows pretty well that the movies are not untouchable at all, i wish we will get a reboot as a tv show in the future

never need a remake too many adaptations for the franchise in the first place fast and furious there's like 9 of them don't make reboots if you want the saga to continue but katniss for sure badass in her flicks but reboots look at the word franchise it's right there don't make anymore then you have enough

They will be all rebooted 40 years from now! there will VIRTUAL REALITY MOVIES. which is obvious its movies types fit for VR. like your are inside a movie! unless they use AI and algorythm of our whole movie library and mathematecaly make them whole to virtual

I suggest Amazon Prime should do a TV adaptation of The Hobbit. Because the big screen trilogy wasn't as good as The Lord of the Rings. I hope the Marvel Cinematic Universe won't reboot the X-Men franchise even if Apocalypse and Dark Phoenix are both rubbish.

While Snape and a few other professors might be impossible to replace, the injustice they did to the books, especially the 3rd book, they should reboot harry potter. I think a tv show like they are doing with Percy Jackson would be a great idea as well.

I agree John Wick should never get rebooted in any way Keanu Reeves already did an amazing job but then again I wouldn't be surprised if it did get rebooted since that is what everyone thinks should happen to old movies

I love the Lord of the Rings Trilogy, which dishartens me sometimes by the fact that The Hobbit movies and the show is not even half good. It just feels like the people behind the franchise are selling out.

All of Them should never get a reboot except John Wick. Keenau Reeves John Wick is great but not enough to make me feel that he is irreplaceable.
For LOTR, the ring of powers should not exist.

IF they decide to retell The Godfather, make a new script with next generation characters not Michael and the family that was told in the first and second films. The third film doesnt exist.

As a film franchise, I don't think Harry Potter should be rebooted. But as a TV series, I would love a Harry Potter reboot. Just because of how much was missed from the books
