I think Rizzio is very misunderstood on Grease. She is said to be a itch and has no emotion. But watch her sing there are worse things I could do and you will see emotions in her eyes. As she said she will never cry in front of you, which implies she does off screen. What they say hurts but she has a rep to uphold as the leader of the pink ladies. That is why I feel she picks on sandy in the bedroom scene. Sandy has the strength to reject something she doesn't like. She doesn't have the image to uphold. Rizzo feels she has no choice but to smoke and party and be tough. Like it is not her choice but her expectation. And this makes her jealous of Sandy thus she lashes out. And she does stop the song when Sandy asks why they are picking on her. She could have kept it going but knew by instinct if she stopped they would stop the song too.

i would also add Nate from Devil wears Prada. It's trendy now to trash him, but actually he did nothing wrong. Yes, he wasn't supportive of Andrea's career but only because he saw what her new job is doing to her. Why he should support her new life? Her boss was awful to her and treat her like her personal s1ve. She herself started to treat people who's not into fashion like dirt. She completely betrayed all her morals and values that meant so much to her. Heck, she even cheated on him! What was her new goals, to help rich people be more rich? Because that's exactly what high fashion is all about. She became one of those shallow brainwashed people who she always despised.

I always thought that Michael in My Best Friends Wedding always loved Kimmy that whenever Julia tried her best to have Kimmy actually look bad such as forcing her to sing badly at the karaoke bar Michael always still loved her.
I only saw the movie once some years ago on Netflix but I strongly do remember that so am I missing something here?
Why did they say that he was the bad guy?
While I also understand why Mark is number one in the video in real life if someone did that with my Mom Id find it extremely creepy.
Yet its a movie so its a suspension of belief and just love it because its a movie pretty much. Lol

Finally some justice for Mark! Everybody keeps on saying that he's a stalking creep but I always thought he did the ultimate love gesture that is acknowloging that loving somebody means wanting that person's happiness, even if it means that it's with somebody else. Mark put Peter and Juliette's happiness over his own, he knew that if he tried somehow to interfere he'd probably wouldn't succeed and only cause distress for those involved and the card declaration wasn't him trying to win Juliette over, it was him letting go of that feeling.

Does anyone really hate on Kimmy in my Best Friend's Wedding? To anyone paying attention to the movie it is clear through the whole thing that she is the one that Michael is really in love with. He does appreciate her, he loved that she was willing to make a fool of herself in the karaoke scene, and he chooses her in the end! He marries her. It's clear that she was the right woman for him, and Jules did what she needed to, accept it, say goodbye and move on.

No way! Mark from Love Actually was terrible! He perved on his best friend's fiancee/wife, who he had never really spoken too, ruined her wedding video for utterly selfish/vouyeristic reasons and then got her to lie to her husband in his terrible 'confession' with was very creepy, not at all romantic! He should've backed off, stopped being a weirdo and not made things incredibly awkward for poor, blameless Juliette!

To me, Mark is pretty okay in Love Actually - he's there for his friends, never lets his crush get in the way of their relationship, nor their friendship, he's sweet, and he lets her go. What's weird is the way people look back on the cards scene as an iconic romantic gesture - are they misremembering or misinterpreting? He's letting her go, if anything, it's more about friendship than romance

I never thought Jules (Julia Roberts) was actually in love with Michael. I think she just felt she was losing him and wanted to prevent that from happening. I always thought she was the bad guy in that movie. She probably would have ended up hurting him eventually, cause her feelings were not coming from the right place. Sure she loves him, but in love, no.

In the Book Something Borrowed, Darcy is a really mean girl and the relationship with her best friend is very fake and toxic with manipulations. The movie got rid of that to actually make Darcy more likable and I felt sorry for her to be betrayed by her Best Friend even if she wasn't perfect. In the book, they really went for the Darcy deserved it excuse.

What I never seen acknowledged in Something Borrowed is the OBVIOUS fact that Kate hudson's character was always a taker and definitely knew there were sparks between her best friend and the guy her best friend was in love with but she didn't care, she went for it anyway, didn't care.

Omg SO agree on #7! I mean yeah she's clearly spoiled & sometimes entitled, but she's a teen w/ a strict dad! You kinda get it! I honestly always really liked her even when she was being selfish, tho also love her sister too

I agree with all of these choices, especially Summer. Tom was trying to get her to be HIS dream girl, not caring about what SHE wanted. It isn't until after she breaks up with him that he begins to see her as a real person.

Im sorry but Marianne in Easy A definitely deserved the hate she got for spreading a rumor that was none of her business and she believed Olive was sleeping with her boyfriend without actually confirming it was true

Who hates Andrew! I think that was the whole point of SHA, how she had the perfect guy but her heart still belonged to her first love. I think the whole point was for the viewer to be torn alongside Melanie: )

Darcy was a terrible person. Self-centered and entitled. She called herself a friend but wasn't. She deserves all the hate.
I dont know anyone who saw Andrew as a bad guy. His mother yes. But not him.

But Darcy I'm sure knew that Rachel had the hots for Dex and she threw herself at Dex because she really for a long time didn't care about anyone but herself. Sure everyone was wrong, I agree there.

Summer is a normal girl and the story is told from the point of view of a narcissistic neurotic. Of course shes not to blame (and at the end it is hinted that the dude grew up from the experience)

Half, if not more, of the characters on this list never got any hate to begin with.
And the ones that actually do, are almost all for reasons different from the ones cited in the video.

What's up with this page saying it's not okay to cheat but people who knowingly sleep with or whatever someone who is already in a relationship isn't so bad? Sorry but that's crappy.

Keira Knightley was far too young to play her role in Love Actually. She was 18 when it was released & Andrew Lincoln was 30. His character had been in love with hers for years?

I don't know anyone that thought Andrew was the antagonist of sweet home Alabama. I thought the whole point was that she had 2 men that were really great to choose between.

Will you ever be doing an episode of characters that dont deserve the love they get, especially in their own narrative? Cause I feel like its gonna be a very long list

The only thing Summer is guilty of, is confirming Tom's idea that The One exists. It was just the guy who asked her about a book she was reading, not Tom.

I'm constantly surprised by the number of people who think the zombie-killer and his cue cards is a horribly creepy scene. I think it's very sweet.

Darcy doesn't deserve the hate? Just because other characters sucked just as much, it doesn't mean she wasn't that bad! Yes, she was that bad! They all were!
