She was always on my radar but it was her song Try that made me a full on fan.
I had been permanently disabled due to a terrible mistake a doctor made during back surgery in 2005. I had 4 structural surgeries to try and fix that, to no avail. I had a couple spinal cord stimulators implanted by early 2010. The battery ran out so I needed a new one. It was implanted then a week or so later I was in horrific pain. I had to have all of the stim taken out, hospitalized for 2 weeks, & another 6 weeks of at home iv antibiotics. It was MRSA. I healed and decided to take a leap of faith to have another stim put in. That went well. 2 weeks after my surgery, I was served with divorce papers. My ex left me utterly destitute and homeless. Luckily, the next year, my disability claim was approved, so I started getting some money coming in. My son asked me to move in with him. The divorce was finalized on Jan 11, 2011 and I moved. One year later, I wasn't feeling well & my service dog kept getting in my face & growling real soft. My Mom advised I go see the doctor. She sent me to a hematology oncologist to have some blood tests. A few days later, in his office, I was told I had acute promyelocytic leukemia. 2 days after that I was admitted to Simon Cancer Center in Indianapolis IN. The doc there said if it weren't for my dog, I would have died a couple days later due to blood loss. 35 days later, 40lbs lighter & just this side of death, I was finally in remission. It took 2 years of more chemo to ensure I stayed that way. Then 1 month after I finished chemo, my sweet dog got sick. He couldn't eat without throwing up, so he quit eating & drinking. The vet gave me some meds to stimulate his appetite, & I had to learn how to inject a whole liter of iv fluid under his skin between his shoulders to keep him hydrated. The vet had a cat she had kept alive & well for 5+ years by doing this very same thing. So I kept going. He did okay for a while, then he didn't. He was done, and I saw it in his eyes. I had to put him down. All the staff at the vets asked to say their goodbyes, too. They helped me raise him to be the good boy & wonderful service dog he was, so of course I said yes. It took several hours for them all to say goodbye. Some came in on their day off to give him one last pet and kiss. I spent another couple hours singing to him, I gave him chocolate ice cream for his last meal, and I cradled him in my arms. Then it was time. I screamed as he went quiet. I didn't get out of bed for a week. I only did because it was time to get him cremated. I slept with his box of ashes for a long time. I was so grief stricken I didn't want to live anymore. One day, I just had to get out of the house, so I went to a big mall in the area. I was browsing some of the clothes racks in a store, and Try came on. I was so struck by the words of the chorus that I bust out ugly crying in a corner. I have never been moved by a song like that before or since. I had been through hell for 9 years by then & didn't see a way out of it. I was merely existing by then. Her words gave me the strength to reach out for help. Thanks to that song, I am alive today. I have a lot of respect for Pink & what she did for me. Thank you so much!

You expect me to pick which performance is best? I love so much music that it took me a long time to decide Pink was my favorite singer/performer right now. I asked my daughter who is 25 to guess who I picked and she immediately said pink. We dont even live in the same state. I love everything about her. Of course I like some songs way more than others but I like almost all of them. Im not sure which song is her worst. I got a dvd of her concert from way before I know anything about her. Honestly it was terrible. I stopped watching it because I didnt want to tarnish the amazing woman she grew into. I love Madonna but after pink saying how she treated her, sorry Madonna, you opened door and you are amazing for that, but Pink is just a way better singer and dancer. I wish she wouldve just laughed because a pink is genuinely funny. Yes I know its spelled P! nk but that takes too long lol.

Don't get me wrong, P! NK is a very talented singer and performer. I've liked her ever since the 90s when she first entered the scene. but I stopped listening some time after she started rolling around in bedsheets. The first few times was pretty cool, but then she just wouldn't stop doing it. For a while I thought I was at the circus. Or maybe she thought she was at the circus? Kinda like when Alicia Keys kept singing Girl on Fire on repeat. How many times can you do the same act? It got tired and boring real quick.

She is such a Powerhouse and so down to earth. The latter part of that sentence is probably why she is overlooked so much. No scandals, nothing underhanded, wholesome and Real. The Press wants Dirt and Grit. Pink may be Edgy but shes Clean. So is Kelly Clarkson and we see that she is of all things a talk show host. Although she also has a voice that can bring the sun out of the sky.

Saw P! nk here in England on 8. 6. 23 last week at Bolton University and she was out of this world she's a complete powerhouse amazing performer theres no one like her i was blown away by her summer carnival 2023 and for you guys who havnt seen it yet your in for a real treat it's AMAZINGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!

I saw her at a very small venue on her debut tour. I knew she was going to be huge way back then. She didn't have all the bells and whistles but she showed more passion for her craft than anyone I'd seen in years, and thankfully she still does.

Absolutely agree. I glommed onto that Grammy number, Glitter in the Air when it first aired, and had to admit Ive always been a fan but now was a super fan. All that being said, I learned a thing or two from this countdown. Thank you.
reply

If you guys are wondering why she didnt do a Half-time show for the Super Bowl, truth is that she was offered to do one in 2019 but she denied it and that led for Maroon 5s performance
reply

i mean i cant for the life of me study P. E and Physics while singing. yet Pink is all of it at the same time but she's like UP there and singing like a badass angel floating casually
reply

With P! NK you cannot pick just one because ALL of her performances are AWESOME and AMAZING! She is such an inspiration and a talented artist! Her music has helped me through so much!

Pink is the GOAT in my house. I tried to get tix to her Orlando show for my daughter. 249 each cuz she's in a wheelchair! So we can't support u in person, we love u and we see you!
reply

She is the best live performer hands down. she tops and pushes herself every time. The range in her performances is unmatched. Not a lip sync in sight. A true artist. Iconic
reply

Try should have been 2nd after Glitter as there is no comparison between it and the 2 MOJO ranked above it. One of her most physical performances done flawlessly.
reply

The Rock Chick of the 21st Century. She can sing, dance, perform acrobatics and always looks good doing it! P! nk will always be one of my all-time favourite artists!
reply

I love you so much! You are very talented! I wish you would come back to Utah I have had leukemia and do not get out very much and I would love to see you!
reply

Im doing an Aerial silks piece to pinks song Just Like Fire this week. Its so cool that she includes the aerial arts in her performances. You rock Pink!
reply

This did not include the most amazing cover of Somewhere Over The Rainbow at the Oscar tribute to The Wizard of Oz. Judy Garland would have been amazed.
reply

What about her performance of the Wizard of Ozs Somewhere over the Rainbow at the academy awards? Her rendition of that song was breathtaking!
reply

reply

How do you forget TheWeeknd bring Ariana out at Iheartradio music awards nobody expected her to be there as she hadnt performed in while
reply

I think you forgot her tribute to Judy garland when she sang somewhere over the rainbow at the oscars in that ruby red dress
reply

P! nk's cover of Bohemian Rhapsody should have been here, second only to Freddie himself. No one else has come close.
reply

Pink is an artist that transcends genres. She's able to craft her music into whatever form she sees fit for that song.
reply

Her duet with Chris Stapleton at the 2019 CMAs is incredible. But nothing tops Glitter in the Air at the Grammy's.
reply

all P! nk performances are number one in my book. Saw her Beautiful Trauma tour, loved every second of it.
reply

Glitter will always be my most favorite performance of any artist. Its so unique, skilled, and delicate.
