Im sorry but you've really sunk to a new low. Zeta-Jones starred in 42nd Street in London before making films, and it was as an adult. Walken got his start as a dancer and, in fact, appeared in two musicals on Broadway in the early 60s. And long before Weapon of Choice, he'd danced in 1981's Pennies From Heaven. Tom Holland is well-known for having done Billy Elliot so that's hardly a surprise. The rest are nonsense in terms of dancing. Bigger surprises would have been James Cagney who also appeared in Broadway in two musicals before he ever made a film, and who danced in films as early as 1933's Footlight Parade. And Bob Hope, a fine dancer and Broadway musical star before he hit ollywood and showed off his skills in Seven Little Foys, dancing with Cagney.

Sure - because choreography isn't a thing. ANYONE can learn to dance given enough time and practise, yes some people have more rhythm and natural ability than others, but acting is one of those professions where DANCE is part of the curriculum ffs.
If this was headlines Top 10 Moments We Found Out A SCIENTIST Was a Great Dancer it might be interesting.

Love her and Wednesday, but Jenna Ortega didnt come up with those dance moves on her ownshe pulled from a bunch of different movies and sources. Theres an ode to Uma Thurmans jack rabbits twist contest dance from pulp fiction; she also does the original wednesday shuffle (but if you blink you miss it, and a couple others she talks about.

Christopher Walken, besides being essentially a dancer, has always done a song and dance number in his openings of every SNL he's ever hosted. How anyone could NOT know that Mr. Walken is a song and dance man in his heart is beyond me. He's never been shy of telling everyone that either, in interviews.

This is so funny. Before they announced the number one pick, I was thinking they should at least honorably mention Christopher Walken in, Weapon of Choice. I was so surprised they made him the number one pick! I honestly thought everyone would have forgotten about that fabulous number, and music!

In high school art class we watched the Christopher Walken dance scene and analysed the choreography. As a naive teen I didnt get the hype, as an adult who now has an appreciation for the art of dancing I absolutely see it. Ah, simple youth, I wish I got it back then. But hey, better late then never!

Came to see number one as Christopher Walken (as it should be. Wasn't disappointed.
FYI the man is actually KNOWN to be a bonafide Grade A dance aficionado. Anyone that DOESN'T know Walken for his dancing isn't old enough to vote yet.

Biggest omission: James Cagney in Yankee Doodle Dandy. Everyone thought he was the ultimate gangster & they were shocked by his dancing. Also, Steve Martin in Pennies from Heaven and when he danced on TV with Gregory Hines.
reply

That's not Christopher Walken doing the cartwheel between 12: 14 and 12: 16. It's a body double. That's why they have him duck off camera for a split second at the end, so Walken just has to pop up and show his face.
reply

Walken wasn't known for his dancing skills?
Well, I guess if you know nothing about what happened in the 20th century. Those of us who do remember will never forget his Let's Misbehave in Pennies from Heaven.

Mads Mikkelsen and Christopher Walken both used to be professional dancers, prior to becoming actors. Earlier this year, Penelope Cruz impressed in the Italian movie, L'immensita with her cool dance moves.

Fan-frickin'-tastic list: I was all ready to unleash on you if Tom Holland and Christopher Walken weren't #2 and #1 respectfully --- I had very specific requirements --- and you passed with flying colors: D

The research in these videos is abysmal. Everyone with at least a little knowledge of these actors knew that Walken and Jackman could dance. What rock does MsMojo live under?
reply

Jenna Ortega is my favorite actress. I never had a favorite actress ever before. I am very impressed that she came up with those extremely iconic dance moves herself.
reply

Although that wasn't just Christopher Walken dancing in the video. A double subs in for the more physical elements (that's not him at 12: 14 to 12: 15 in this video.
reply

One of the honorable mentions should have been Channing Tatum in the video for Pink! 's Beautiful Trauma. He is smooth as warm butter, matching her move for move.
reply

It would be cool if people who rank such a list really would be dancer themself to understand what is really hard and affords dancing skills and whats not; )
reply

Christopher Walklen was a trained dancer and danced on on Broadway before becoming an actor which is why Spike Jonze wanted hi for the Weapon of Choice video
reply

Wow, I must be old. What about Gene Kelley, Cyd Charisse, Judy Garland, and Rita Moreno ( who happens to be an EGOT - Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, Tony winner.
reply

Im remembering very much enjoying a dance scene with Steve Martin and Rick Moranis in a movie where Steve Martin is in a witness protection program.
reply

Natalie Portman studied ballet when she was young. She didn't do all of the dancing in Black Swan, but she did do a lot of it herself.
reply

All these actors including Walken are trained dancers. I think it would be a better video to choose actors who weren't trained like John Travolta.
reply

the thing about walken is that he tried to sneak in 'a move' in every movie he did. i don't remember where it was in 'the deer hunter', though.
reply

Kate Hudson's mother started out as a dancer before becoming a dancer. Amy Adams had a dance sequence as Marvel Ann in Psycho Beach Party
reply

Well actually, those of us who are over 20 know that Hugh Jackman was a Broadway star long before Wolverine so of course he can dance.
reply

so 90% were trained dancers, most people in Hollywood know a bit of everything specifically to make sure they can get roles: D
reply

Natalie Portman ought to be here for Black Swan. She worked really hard to do as much of the dancing as was reasonable for that role.
reply

pretty sure a lot of effort went into their talents. Not sure why people assume they fell out of their crib with these skills.
reply

I appreciate your work; but, study the past more than you do. You are missing the most profound moments in our film culture.
reply

Walken has been dancing professionally since his early youth!
Also, you totally missed the actors in the Cotton Club
