I know the awkwardness and disgust all to well. In fact, my first kiss is to this day still my only kiss outside of family affection. And that was back in pre-k or kindergarten, which I did with the ugliest kid in the classroom because I was a jealous little girl who wanted him for a boyfriend. For an autistic young adult, it's also a big deal, but now 21 years old, I still haven't gotten a refund on that kiss to retry my lips.
