Although it wasn't a proper dance scene, the opening minutes of Saturday Night Fever certainly should've made the Honorable Mention list. John Travolta, as Tony Manero, simply struts down the streets of New York, a paint can in each hand, as the Bee Gees' Stayin' Alive plays over the scene. Again--no actual dancing took place but Travolta's mere strutting was almost underscored with the kind of movement we'd see from him in the club scenes later on.

Actor and classical ballet dancer Daniel Levins was the green shirt guy in Grease. I also noticed him in Grease because he showed more personality in his dancing than the others. I'm glad you mentioned him.
Levins' other notable role was as an arrogant young choreographer for a ballet company in 1977's The Turning Point. He got to have a heated exchange of words with Anne Bancroft as the company's prima ballerina.

Although not choreographed dance scenes, I would add the photo shoot scene from Eyes Of Laura Mars (1978) a horror movie. With Lets all Chant song in the background.
Also, Dudley Moores hilarious bedroom dance in Foul Play (1978)

If it is 10 dances to be ranked, 9 dances should be from Grease; Summer Nights, Greased Ligthning, Beauty School Dropout, Tears on My Pillow, Those Magic Changes, Hound Dog, Born to Hand Jive You're the One I Want, We Go Together.

The 70s were the best decade for american movies! I like the choices, but Hair should be on the list, not only on honorable mentions. Yes, i agree: Travolta is the best!

As a Gen Z 2001 kid, I think Movies from the 70s, 80s, 90s and 2000s and early to mid 2010s are the best
