My mom loves music! Shell listen to anything. I remember Dirrty video came out my dad was so mad and my mom was like omg, and then we listen to int the car, she sang along with me and my sister. Lmfaoooo Mom told me that I cant tell my friends, cause i was going to Christian school.

Any innapropriate song with from Britney Spears, Madonna, Katy Perry and Lady Gaga that should not be listen around our parents back in the end of 90s towards the middle of 2000s should be deserving and saved for another top 10 as they got many innapropriate hits with some dirty videos out of context like these ones: Toxic by Britney Spears, poker face by Lady Gaga, justify my love, vogue, expressed yourself by Madonna & I kissed a girl and hot n cold by Katy Perry

Sometimes these old nostalgic songs were not meant to be listened around parents when we were kids at first during their peakness while listening the lyrics content sounded very odd without even understand their content or even the video being too out of context, but as the years goes by you really feel attached about them of how memorable and nostalgic gets in your head while listening to them over and over again.

The Hills by The Weeknd, Pillowtalk by Zayn, Side to Side by Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj, Super Freaky Girl by Nicki Minaj, Animals by Maroon 5, Kill Bill by SZA, Savage by Megan Thee Stallion and Beyonce, Talking Body by Tove Lo, Blurred Lines by Robin Thicke, TI, and Pharrell are great examples of pop songs that you should never listen to in front of your parents!

I vividly recall listening to Lady Marmalade by Mya, P! nk, Lil Kim & Christina Aguilera when I was a little kid. My mom used to blast that song on our large living room stereo and she would constantly pop the special edition DVD into the DVD player just to click to the bonus features and play the music video

First off, 2 of the honorable mentions my mother likes. One of course she prefers the original. As far as the actual list, all but 1 of the 10 I dont want to listen too. Rihanna is the exception and I sung that in front of my mother, so nice try. Doesnt work for me.

I was 17 before I realised what Pinks fingers was about. My Mum actually found it hilarious that it was 11 year old me's favourite song.
She was fully aware of how innocent my mind was. Same with it wasn't me Dirrrty plus she introduced me to Nickelback's she keeps me up

This video reminds me of one time when I was 15 and Too Close by Next was playing on the radio, and my mom was asking me what they were saying in the lyrics, and then my sister, who was 11 at the time, and I both went Trust us, you don't want to know that

There is a reason I listen to these songs on the computer with headphones as opposed to the living room. I would love to enjoy these but they can't really be enjoyed too much around parents and it would be a sad sight to see someone muffle enjoyment.

Talk Dirty by Jason Derulo and 2 Chainz is another one! And My Neck, My Back is a guilty pleasure song for me and back when I worked at Hardee's, I had this coworker named Davion I liked to annoy the crap out of by singing that song!
reply

is it bad that basicly grew up on whitle. I love this song as a kid and was basicly oblivious to the menings of it. I found out about the menings when i was sixteen. i haven't heard the song since then.
reply

I went to a catholic school as well and still listened to xtina, britney spears and many more with explicit songs and my parents didn't care plus I probably wouldn't have listened to them if they did.
reply

Kinda disappointed Too Close by Next didn't make the list, not even in Honorable Mentions.
(also Get Down by b4-4 as a cheeky but holy crap they were actually singing about THAT! pop song)

Think Ive listened to nearly all of these with my mum but shes pretty chill and she knows I love lady marmalade. The only one I would definitely avoid is khia even now and Im 31
reply

All of these pop artists deserve a list of their own as far as songs not listening infron of your parents go. And btw Lady Marmelade as an Honorable Mention? UNACCEPTABLE!
reply

This list needs to be updated to the more modern music. For an example, Alanis Morissettes You Oughta Know ( honorable mention) came out over 25 years ago. Its old history.
reply

You forgot to songs candy, shop by 50 Cent and ride by Ciara featuring Ludacris seriously if that would go over your head, then seriously or have a milkshake
reply

this is BS. kids sing most of this songs. Love game isn't it all a unconfortable song. so many that you could choose. my god. big fail. dislike
reply

When I first heard Pony I thought he was singing about an actual pony. then my mom said he was talking about a different kind of Pony.

Slumber Party by Britney Spears
Outrageous by Britney Spears
Your Body by Christina Aguilera
S&M by Rihanna
Man down by Rihanna

reply

Dont listen to Baby Got Back by Sir Mix-a-Lot or In Da Club 50 Cent around your parents either or watch the music videos with your parents!
reply

my parents didn't really care what kind of music I listened. I also liked the music they were brought up around so I think that helped.
reply

Ive listened to a lot of these songs with/around my parents. Its not a big deal. This stuff is only awkward if you make it so.
reply

Maybe my mother is less of a prude than I originally thought. Because I definitely listened to quite a few of these around her.
reply

for me there was Dirrty and all those 2000s hip hop songs with girls in slowmo in music videos (aka Candy shop for example)
reply

I sang most of these songs as a kid, oblivious to the meaning or what the lyrics really were. Now I think its hilarious
reply

When I was a kid I listened to and sang Hot 'n' Juicy's Horny and I didn't even know back then what it meant
reply

Good thing my parents can't speak english and i can listen to songs like this everyday in front of them
reply

OK I just noticed that this video was made five days ago instead of five years ago Why is WAP not on here?
