One you missed: Max Cady from the original Cape Fear film played by Robert Mitchum. The finale monologue of Sam Bowden (Gregory Peck)'s throwing his own words of revenge back in his (Cady's) face, intending to let him live but in prison for life instead of killing him (and thus asserting the moral high ground of not sinking to his level as an animal/hammering the film's theme home) really deserves more credit.

Actually, the wicked witch did not get what she deserved. She was very misunderstood as a character. If you have watched the prequel musical to this, then it will explain a lot about her and her experience so it definitely recommend watching.

Margaret Hamilton, who played the Wicked Witch of the West, was a sweet lady in real life, who had worked as a teacher, and loved children. She even appeared on Mr Rogers to explain that she was just pretending to be mean.
