kamsismith I only know of Newsies the musical and that musical was amazing. I haven't watched the movie it was based on. What's the point of turning Carrie into a Broadway musical That's like doing a Broadway musical of Nightmare of Elm Street.

SummerBozeman I loved Taylor Louderman as Regina George, she was fantastic. And Newsies has always been one of my favorite movies, and I loved the stage adaptation, though they’re really two different things. And Hairspray is just the BEST.

trinaq Billy Elliot is one of my all time favourite musicals, and never fails to yank on my heartstrings. It makes sense that Elton John helped to write the music, since he could sadly relate to Billy's strained relationship with his dad.

trinaq Sing Street is such an underrated movie, I'd recommend everyone to watch it. It's a shame that the musical adaptation wasn't as widespread, I'd love to see it someday.
