In Cinderella, I think the glass slipper didn't change back on purpose. If you pay attention to the very beginning of the movie, Cinderella lost her shoe as she was bringing breakfast up to her stepmother and stepsisters. The fairy godmother knew this detail about her and counted on her losing one of her shoes as she left the ball. Since the slippers were made for Cinderella, the slipper would be the prince's key to finding her and freeing her from indentured servitude.

For the movie The Birds, it was suggested that the birds were attacking because they were sick and tired of how people were treating birds, so they attacked to get revenge. For the question if Oz is real or not, in the book, Oz is DEFINITELY real, the movie may have left that question unanswered, but the book definitely answered it, and made it clear that the land of Oz was real. If the filmmakers kept it loyal to the book, that would not be an unanswered question.

The fairy godmother turned something into something else pumpkin into a carriage, mice into horses a horse into a coachman, dog into a footman, tattered dress into a ball gown but she completely created those glass slippers from nothing. everything that was transformed was turned back at midnight, but she fully created the slippers from pure air.

Even though the effects in The Birds look pretty goofy, it's a lot better than Birdemic which came out decades later. I think a virus may have caused the birds to go crazy.

Literally, there is a line of dialogue in Citizen Kane that explains that the butler heard him say it. . I heard him say it that other time too. He just said 'Rosebud', then he dropped the glass ball and it broke on the floor.
