Road to El Dorado, all dogs go to Heaven, an American tail has some good ones, and I think lady and the tramp gets ignored a lot too. I mean Bella Notte for goodness sake. Also, I’m happy to see Oliver and Company. Get some love because it in great boss Detective deserve a lot more especially when you consider. If it weren’t for them we wouldn’t have the Disney renaissance of the 90s. Quick correction the song vulture sing in the jungle book is called that’s what friends are for and they would’ve been voice by the Beatles but like you said, the plans fell through.

How could you not include The Transformers The Movie (1986)
From Vince DiCola’s synth score to awesome hair metal tracks from the likes of Stan Bush, Lion and Spectre General. Not to mention that one Weird Al track.
Also, Titan A. E. Lit’s Over My Head, The Urge’s It’s My Turn To Fly and Bliss 66’s Not Quite Paradise just to name a few.

The Road to El Dorado and (minorly) The Hunchback of Notre-Dame. Those two soundracks are loads better than several one who made into this list yet they faded into oblivion and are as criminally forgotten as their movies.
And personally Oliver & Company, not The Little Mermaid, is the movie that truly kicked off Disney’s Renaissance imo.

It's pretty amazing how a lot of the movies on this list are considered iconic, but apparently their soundtracks are forgettable.
And I say amazing in irony. Because just as there are iconic movies with forgettable soundtracks, there are also forgettable movies with iconic soundtracks.

If you're talking animated movie score, The Great Mouse Detective is so underrated as is the entire movie. It was based on the books of Eve Titus and with Vincent Price and Henry Mancini (Pink Panther) the music is not given the credit it deserves.
reply

Disney's Hunchback of Notre Dame is as epic as a movie song score can be. Losing the Oscar for best score was highway robbery. Also The Adventures of Tintin 2011 because of John Williams (What else is there to say He's the GOAT of film composers.

In my opinion, The Lion King 2: Simba's Pride's soundtrack deserved more than to be in the honorable mentions. It was, like, the best part of that movie to me. The songs were just as great and memorable as those of the original movie.
reply

This may be an unpopular take, but Bambi's original soundtrack seems criminally underrated and ignored, despite being drop-dead gorgeous. As for others, it's a shame that Anastasia doesn't even get an honorable mention.

Chicken Little instead of Treasure Planet! Do you honestly think that Chicken Little's music was deserving to be on this list and not Treasure Planet! Don't you know that Chicken Little sucks! What the hell, Mojo!
reply

The Prince of Egypt should've been number 1! The song When You Believe by Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey is my all-time favorite song! It definitely 1, 000, 000 deserved the Oscar!

What about:
. The Chipmunk Adventure (1987)
. Madagascar (2005)
. Cats Don't Dance (1997)
. Hercules (1997)
. All Dogs Go To Heaven (1989)
. My Little Pony: The Movie (2017)

Flushed Away is the best DreamWorks movie, nobody can change my mind sure Megamind, Shrek, Bee Movie Over The Hedge and other films are great but this movie personally hits me hard.
reply

I'm so glad that Prince of Egypt made the list cause Deliver Us, Though Heaven's Eyes and When You Believe are my favorite songs but it should be at number 1
reply

The Lion King and Beauty & the Beast soundtracks have had the spotlight for too long. Others should get the chance for their time in the light.

My top 5 animated movie soundtracks
5. Oliver and Company
4. Spirit
3. The Jungle Book
2. A Goofy Movie
1. The Lion King

reply

I think that the songs in Dumbo deserve more recognition, as almost everyone these days forget about the soundtrack from that movie.
reply

I never forgot how awesome Flushed Away’s soundtrack was! Dancing With Myself (Billy Idol) and Proud Mary (Tina Turner) are bangers!
reply

Flushed Away was my entire childhood, and I was introduced to bops such as Dancing with Myself and Bohemian Like You, as a result.
