I think Emilys the best character of all. 1) shes the reason why Lorelai leaves, 2) shes the reason why Lorelai is the way she is, 3) the way she always gets her way is remarkable, 4) you can say shes annoying but she had a husband that loved her no matter what-tried to split up and still couldnt conceive life without her, 5) she didnt beg for him to return, 6) she moves on even when the love of her life is gone. I could go on and on but is just that Kelly Bishop did an excellent work on building Emilys personality! Such a badass.

Honestly Lorelai kinda get's on my nerves. She can be a little bit too self involved in the early seasons amongst other things. So if it was up to me it would be Rory in #1. I know she has made some mistakes but I am legit the same personas her so. and then Luke in #2 like it is and Paris in #3

Luke and Emily above Rory? For me, Gilmore Girls is one of the shows where the protagonists don't get overshadowed by the side characters. Lorelai and Rory have such a great mother/daughter friendship. The other characters are good, but I believe Lorelai and Rory are the heart of the show.

Agree with the list, but I think Logan & Taylor should have made the honorable mention. Logan had a character development towards the show, while Taylor is such a character from the beginning
