Yes, those are all wonderful spots to visit and photograph. Would also suggest: Mission District murals, Northbeach, Japan Town, the Castro, Ghirardelli Square, the cable car turnaround. Back in its high day, the Cliff House was stupendous. It's still a collection of great restaurants and hosts a gift shop with scads of historical photos. Also still there is Seal Rock which used to be the best place for viewing sunning seals, the Sutro Bath ruins, and Camara Obscura which is an amazing 360 degree real-time display of the view around the area. The Cliff House is at the head of Ocean Beach, which you mentioned.

No Presidio, Northbeach, Japan Town, the Castro, Ghirardelli Square, the cable car turnaround, Market Street, Union Square, or Ferry Building? Well, I guess if you don't have your whole life and don't live here, these are good choices. But you definitely need to visit Presidio. Its a must if you come to my home city. It's packed with ocean views, redwood landscape, and amazing view of the Golden Gate and Urban area. Also lots of history is here dating back to the Spanish Empire as a defensive fort in the Alta California province of New Spain up to WW2, as a fort of defense against a potential Japanese invasion.

I was surprised this wasn't mentioned, so I'll add it here for anyone looking for more. the 16th Avenue Tiled Steps are GORGEOUS. After you snap a picture of the stairs, climb up to the top and then some and you will see a beautiful view of the city. I'd recommend a quick visit there. :-)

As a local I can confirm these are all fine spots, but the photos in the video are wildly outdated and nobody says San Fran. And how could you leave out the cable cars?

I have lived all over the country and SF (the Bay Area in general) is the most beautiful city I've ever been. It will steal your heart in the best way Yeeee!
reply

Unlike the commentator, please don't ever refer to our city as 'San Fran' unless you want a horrible look of disdain from the locals.
