Seeing this makes me wanna cry this guy Used to make games like Mega Man and my favorite franchise Dead Rising. He can be considered my favorite developer of all time, But most people would know him of the atrocious that is Mighty No. 9 which is basically Mega Man but with a name change, I hope this guy does make a good game and has a brink of future for his games and His legacy this man deserves the praise for what his been through, Capcom back then has done terrible things to people. Keji and Hideki are pretty much the big ones who are in this mess who now are at other companies, it pains me to say that he needs to comeback to Dead Rising and Show Hipster beard and the others how to make a Dead Rising game. I hope this man has a good future and don't let anything get him down, Maybe Red Ash can get him back into the spotlight. Who knows at this point it may fail too But that won't keep him from stopping making games. I truly hope this man future is the Brightest it can be.

It's a shame how Mighty No. 9 and the like turned out, because he really does come across as a nice guy who's passionate about what he does. Not to mention, even if he is given a little too much credit for his influence on Megaman as a series, it doesn't change the fact that he did have a large part in making the series what it was. I really do hope he continues to get work in the future, and I honestly hope we get a Mighty No. 9 sequel because with the right fixes it could be a good game. Red Ash too, I hope that does happen eventually.

What's with everyone in the comments thinking they're game designers now LOL this was a cute level very reminiscent of mega man classic and tbh I loved it. Also consider the time he was probably given to make this, I think he did great honestly. I get hating on Inafune was the -trendy- thing to do at the time of most of these comments but for real some of yall sound so pathetic and dumb lmao I've loved this series of videos

The platfroming looks precise and a bit challenging, but it looks so bland, and the beggining looks a bit like a mess, with blocks that don't seem to do anything. The pirahna plants really don't look too good with jumping out of sync, and they don't jump high enough to impact platforming either. Also, putting pipes out of sight is a terrible design choice.

Please play my level in the style of a Zelda I dungeon. It took me 2 weeks to make! I've tried my best and spent a super long time trying to recreate the feel and aesthetics of the original Zelda title. There's a degree of non-linearity and also a big secret, although it is not necessary in order to complete the level. 35F5-0000-008E-1306

Are you sure this level is from the creator of Mega Man? This looks like what you would typically see in Mario Maker via the 100 Mario Challenge. You know it's sad when a Pac Man styled level from the creator of Rayman was alot better than a stage by Inafune.

Even though Inafune Has been turned into kind of a joke recently, I do generally hope he-s doing OK. With all the hate and Memes surrounding him I really hope he-s feeling all right even if he has made some strange choices in the past.

I was soooo disappointed by this, i was really expecting something really neat and awesome, and it was poor, dull and ver badly made, i mean when you enter the hubworld you can't even see the pipe that takes you back, really terrible.
reply

The level was pretty simple, however it's the block spacing that brought back flashbacks of heatman's stage. I think it was very cleaver how he spaced them really close, Just like in megaman, you could die by overshooting a jump.

Whatever they say, to my Keiji Inafune is a genius at the height of Hideo Kojima and Shigeru Miyamoto; without him the legendary saga of Mega Man --would not have become possible, should learn to value their legacy.
reply

I would have made multiple simple, single-screen platform puzzles with vines to simulate ladders, and long sections with enemy obstacles you have to get past, and made it SMB1 themed to restrict holding items.
reply

Between this and the level design in _Mighty No. 9_, I have reason to believe that Inafune didn't actually _design_ many levels in the _Mega Man_ games. I believe that that was for the best.
reply

Wait, so at 3: 00 he made a warp pipe -necessary- to continue the level hidden off screen?
I'm surprised that an actual game developer would make such a terrible/cheap level design decision.

reply

Despite all the hate Inafune is getting for mighty no 9 (not going to say it's completely unjustified) I did like the look of the level. It reminded me of a Megaman 1 stage.
reply

Those levels look easy. I made some levels in the past that are almost comparable to the super mario frustration forever NES hack where you had to abuse/exploit bugs.
reply

Ignoring that Inafune is now a joke, this level is pretty bad. The throw of Koopa shells or Galoombas is just an underutilized gimmick and the level looks dull.
reply

Oh Inafune, what happened to you? You were once an Inaf-King, but now your an Ina-Failure. :(
-shakes fist in anger- WHAT DID YOU DO TO HIM CAPCOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

reply

I've seen retarded 12 year olds make a better 2D platformer in Mario Maker than Mighty No. 2. Man, this guy totally scammed those poor kickstarters.
reply

These comments. such cancer, never giving the poor man a break.
People want a rushed out, possibly broken game rather than a delayed, polished game.

reply

While he's busy doing this, Mighty No. 9 slips further into delay. Once again, so very happy I never threw money at his kick starter!
reply

I'm sorry but the super Mario maker level had to be delayed, I need more funding for a completely different level -keiji imagine
reply

Pretty cool that Inafune made a stage for Mario Maker. You know what would be cooler? If he would RELEASE MIGHTY NO. 9 ALREADY!
reply

I really want to like Inafune but it's just one mistake after another. This makes one more for the mountain-sized pile.
reply

Man, what happened to him. From one of the most respected men in the industry to the most HATED in a matter of moments.
reply

Cool
So does this mean that he's done with that one game? Surely that's why he has the free time to make this.

reply

-Buy my Mario Maker levels! Only $60! I'll throw in a second Mario Maker map if you reach $4, 000, 000! -
reply

Alright so. talking purely about the stage and ignoring Mighty No. 9 drama. this stage looks. pretty boring.
reply

they forgot to put dead rising(if you did not know he produced and designed the first one a. k. a best game ever)
reply

Not many people know that this level was delayed 6 times before release, and he also did a kickstarter for it.
reply

When someone in the gaming industry makes MM levels as terrible and uninspired as some rando 8 year old.
