1: 10 no! of course not. The original was completely open just like BOTW if anything it's a return to form made with modern game design knowledge. Besides, the open world Zelda games let you screw around to a massive amount for example in wind waker (which I have the most time with) you can get the magic armor and unlock the vacation house right after you beat the first dungeon and most people only get the magic armor on their second playthrough if that!
I just can't stand actual video game journalism websites being giving complete misinfromation, there's no excuse.

Am I the only one that has never really wanted an entirely open Zelda game? I do think I will probably love this game like most all of the other Zelda games, but that's the thing, I loved OoT, Majora's Mask, Link's Awakening, and I even liked TP and SS.
I liked talking to my friends at school about the temples we had played the night before. We all could relate to each other's experiences because we had all been playing the same game! To me, this game seems like it could be kind of lonely.
In game and IRL haha. But hey, that's just my opinion!

This is supposedly 2% of the map, with almost every NPC available in this area removed so as to showcase the exploration.
Even so, the common thread from people who played it is that there's so much to do.
And the haters were all like -who cares if the map is big, if it's all empty! -

This looks great and all (certainly looks a lot better than Skyward Sword, but I just hope the openness doesn't take away from the structure of the story, if you choose to play through it all. Just hoping it's got an epic story, like Ocarina of Time did.

Don't say -Fighting The Last Boss First- like that's something you're going to show. You just regurgitated information that is already common knowledge to anyone who is following this game. Massive let down. I wish my skimming through didn't count as a view.

Nick's story does not match the video. He acts like they attacked him but in the video, Nick is clearly the aggressor and attacks two moblins minding their own business. Perhaps he is not as soft a boy as we previously thought.

-unlike any zelda game- except. you know. the first couple. sure they have the crafting elements, watch towers and stuff from open world games but the ability to skip bosses and focus on exploration is a classic concept

These two guys are terrible together. They each just want to tell their own stories and experiences, only shallowly acknowledging the other's comment. Get a better functioning team!

i doubt you can walk straight to the last boss; i think you can go without doing everything but i think you have to complete all of the main missions before going to the final boss.

IMO referencing this game to The Elder Scrolls is kind of a disservice to Zelda's original 1989 game, which this game is ACTUALLY built upon

Speedruns should be fast and interesting depending on if you're required to have certain things to kill the final boss.
