I think it's the flaws that make it so engaging. The tantalising feel of a deeper story, of something hidden, something that will be a revelation if you can just winkle it out.
And there are a lot of answers to the questions you're likely to ask, like -What's the deal with the empty chair behind the smashed glass? Why did the camera linger on it? -(cut scene, Marni's body was stolen.

production had a solid universe, great characters. but had theater players and not enough scenes to fill it out. I can see it remake. I feel like this could work now with a different production, it's great and as a father in similar circumstances, I relate to nathan. I hope this works out with a comic series or anime adaptation

You basically summed up my opinion of this movie soo well. I know it-s not a great movie but I love it. Yes there are flaws from the story and writing and even some effects and some singing could definitely be a lot better. But god dammit this is such a film I love watching cause its so intriguing and visually interesting

I honestly love how corny it can be. It makes it much more fun. But one thing is for sure. The songs and character moments chill me to the core in such a good way.
