Thing is, usually when people trade lvl 1 mons from a decent line (NOT ZUBAT, like that Ralts, they're actually being nice. they were breeding for a super competitive Ralts with awesome stats, kept the pick of the litter for themselves, and then wonder traded off all the other ones like 'hey! this is a really good baby Ralts! go on and level it and you'll have a lot of fun with it! ' Like Petunia, that was probably one that was custom bred to have amazing sp atk. Sure, they're level 1, but they turn out to be powerhouses if you do level 'em.
Or like Flapteryx there, that comes a fossil, not easy to come by, so they were helping people fill their pokedexes by breeding a lot of extra babies and just sending them out into the world.
TJ the Zubat was just an insult though.

I wonder traded a ton of stuff while breeding for IVs and over time got a bunch of stuff with 4-5 max IVs, good natures and/or hidden abilities. One was a female 5 IV charmander which was really useful since female charmanders are really rare, as well as a hidden ability dragonite with a few maxed IVs which saves me from having to find a hidden ability dratini myself if I want a good dragonite at some point. I've never gotten a shiny though. I've traded several 4 (or 5, but with Sp Atk maxed instead of something else) max IV Jolly natured sneasels with two useful egg moves (Icicle Crash and Pursuit) out into the world, so I hope those were useful to people, even if they're not perfect.

getting good stuff on Wonder Trade is really on specific days, timing your trades with streamers. and you have to do A LOT of trades. I've gotten a ton of legendaries and shinies from WT, but I've done literally thousands of trades. Trading off a whole box might get me two Pokemon worth keeping, if I'm lucky.
That being said I have a hunch that Petunia was a reject from someone trying to shiny/IV breed and therefore might have 3 or 4 perfect IVs

I really don't know what Griffin was expecting from the Wonder Trade here. People keep handing him wonderful pokemon and he gets all indignant that he might have to actually train them. He knows they don't get a memo that he's 7 badges deep into the campaign and has a pathological aversion to spending any time building these guys up before he sends them into the fire, right?

I know this series is old but god damn. Griffin is having the worst luck with wonder trade. I-m replaying x and just for kicks I wonder traded like 16 times, I got three various regions starters, a shiny with a master ball, and a legendary, plus some other less interesting pokemon but they-re still cool. Like man.

I just started my first Nuzlocke recently after watching this series. about 6 badges in to omega ruby at this point. My Gyarados, which I raised from a lvl 15 magikarp to lvl 40 just got one hit KOd from a Pokemon 5 levels lower and i still don't know how it happened. I'm sad: (

Meanwhile i was watching this series i started my own little nuzlocke on ultra moon of course i caught a wingull then i made the decision to name it Sea Breeze to pay respects to your wonderful wingull you had that died than came back evolved then had to leave again

I'm not lying or kidding, but I once got a level one hundred shiny Xerneas in Pokemon Moon through Wonder Trade! I'm not good enough to tame it yet though, so I use it as a sheild while I heal my other Pokemon lol

i know it's been 6 years since this was posted but griffin really put petunia in the PC and added davidspumkns to his party so he'd have an easy option to wonder trade didn't he. HOW'D THAT WORK OUT.

I've gotten some good pokemon off of wonder trade tho like real nice but it's mostly a 1% chance I've gotten some shinies that were most defo hacked but shh, and some legionaries

I've gotten legendaries and shiny pokemon from wonder trade before, it's like gambling. When I knew I was done with my game I wonder traded all of my good pokemon for fun lol

Petunia would have died. She's Grass/Poison. Slowking knows psychic. if you swapped her in she'd have to get her giga drain first and hard to avoid the psychic.

Pretty sure Wonder Trade is mostly used by people who spam breeding looking for shinies, and then send tons of baby Pokemon out into the world.

FYI, lv. 1's in Wonder Trade are almost all breeding rejects-- like that Archen that had 3 perfect IVs! ;_; Makes me cry seeing it released.
