They made update changes to the game I think specifically for Haunt #3 because if the Witch steals the book I don't believe there is an actual way to steal it back from her, so the traitor automatically wins. I like this game but there are a few scenarios that just are just dumb and not fun. Another crap one was Haunt #9. It took us 5 turns (not each character, just 5 turns over all) to beat the Haunt. They seem to hit and miss with the Haunts but there's 50 so guess thats why.

30: 25 (PW) Nope. Each player can only do ONE step, each turn. You can't pick up the root and cast the spell in the same turn.
37: 19 (convinced him to not pick up the revolver. The Traitor can still pick up any, and all, items/companions/opens piles that are in the room, unless the Haunt specifically states otherwise. Which it doesn't. He can pick up the revolver, but can choose to not use it during a fight.

Can same player stop by same item room on every turn and pick the item?
Similarly, can same player stop by same event room and pick the event?
Eg: if player have speed 4, he can come to the same card(place) everytime, so can he pick up item or event or omen? Or is it only once per the game?

Best video thus far, but still not a thorough understanding of the game and rules are explained. I also now realize that I dont have 3 friends with attention spans long enough to play this game. Goodbye Betrayal. First Avalon Hill game I have ever thrown away without playing it completely.

That round was like a discount version of Scooby Doo
-exploring spooky haunted house
- dog
- mad man/possible high guy that runs away when threatened (shaggy)
- 22ish guy who-s the athletic leader of the party and most effective in killing the monster (Fred)
-Jenna=Velma

I have such nostalgic memories for this game! When I was in middle school I went on an over night trip to a science competition and my friends and I set up on the floor and played till one am. Our teacher had to come over and tell us to be quiet cause we were laughing too loud -

i love this game because it makes zero sense. its just like a 72 year old priest hanging out with some kids in an empty house with the strangest floor plan, and then some of the haunts are just weird or not on the page they-re meant to be

I love playing this game with my family! We use my dad's collection of mini figures for companions and some haunts.
We also have the game -Betrayal at Baldur's Gate-. It's a Dungeons and Dragons version of the game.

I'll never forget the game of this where the climax was a priest with plate armour and a holy spear battling against an immortal flesh golem in the form of a ten-year-old-boy, which was armed with a chainsaw.

I finally got my friends to play this. Often when we get around to trying this, people are too drunk to understand the directions. It-s so o fun and I want to play the other haunt options at some point.

According to the Polygon Wiki, - 'Brian' doesn't know what a frog is-, which makes sense since he was brutally murdered in a staircase by a small child before the witch transformed anyone.

When Brian said -posesssion- I half expected Rob Brydon to go -Ah! Now there's a box under your desk, take the item out of the box, show it to us, and then read the card that is inside. -

Played this game w my family the other day, and we got the haunt called -Comes the hero-. We got the statue and killed the traitor and it was pretty cool all in all

This is one of my favorite games of all time. It's simple yet I seem to learn something every time I play thanks to the randomness and variety of the cards and tiles

I can't believe none of them thought of the madman saying -What if we're all just living in a board game being played by a bunch of internet content creators? -
reply

The guy playing Brandon didnt tell the girl playing flash to gain one speed at 18: 33 when she pasted her he double checked the card still SAID NTG

i LOVE how every time brian goes into character, he has to look down at his thing to remember his name and then looks back up and goes -Vivian--

Do you think you-ll ever revisit this game with the Widow-s Walk expansion, or perhaps do a separate video entirely for Betrayal at Baldur-s Gate?
reply

BDG wearing two watches on the same wrist facing different directions is distracting me to the point where I can't focus on the video.
reply

I love all of overboard but this is the one I keep rewatching endlessly because of the sheer insanity that goes on after minute 30
reply

I like this show, but the amount of rules and play that got wrong was mind numbing. I understand beginners and all but damn.
reply

If someone could put together a cheesy animation of the turn of events in this playthrough of Bathoth, that would be cool

-A little girl with a sacrificial dagger and a dog- is the plot of like half of all early 2010s indie survival horror games

look every time i hear clayton talk in that voice i keep thinking he-s gonna go full shaggy rogers, like, zoinks

-all my knowledge didn-t give me the ability to count- is the biggest mood for high school math students

This is the best playthrough in YT! I love how they are plashing the cards so we can see/read with them
