Glitch ALERT -
Some legendary fish does NOT get marked on the map. The fish does NOT get the X on the map crossed out. I got this with the Legendary Longnose Gar yesterday! It was my 4th legendary fish. After I caught it, I checked the map and it was marked. But after I send the mail and an hour passed, later I realized the X was disappeared off of the map, and I had already over saved the save slot.
The fish is in my compendium and accepted on the quest's checklist.
I have read on websites that there should be no problem if you got the fish in your compendium and quest checklist.
But it's still FRUSTRATING that it's NOT crossed out on the map!
But I will continue my game now and post an update on this comment later.

I'm at 94. 5% and on Rockstar social club it says 94. 6% and same like this % thing I had with GTA 5 as well. The social club showing 0. 1% more lol, but that's also not an issue.
Back to Red Dead. I got plenty of save game slots for just in case I need to go back.
I'm at 50/90 of the challenges done.
Only need 9 more legendary fish now and Exotics request 3, 4, and 5 to finish this game with 100%
I hope this map bug is only the map and not F ing up my 100%

FASTEST FISHING TRICK
Dont pull and cast out your rod far. Just throw it LIKE A FOOL so the lure is near enough from you. Several time I even don't need to fight to cacth them. I can pull them as soon as they hooked. This even works with legendary fishes. Trust me. You try.

I can't get a single bite from the Bullhead Catfish (Number 5, I'm still playing as Arthur, last mission in Chapter 4, does this fish even bite/spawn yet? Does it work like the Legendary Alligator in that it only spawns after a certain part of the game?

Ok am I the only one who-s large and small mouth bass aren-t crossed off the map even tho I-ve cought them and I tried ages to get the small mouth thought screw it get the rest and it said I-ve got them all ---

Followed this guide to the letter. Most of these fish were easy enough to catch, got most of them within a few minutes. Only one that was a pain was that catfish by the state penitentiary, took me a while to find it.

Struggling phase tip: after getting the bite, instead of moving stick hardly to the other side of fish going, move left stick repeatedly to that direction. This way they had come near me during struggle phase.

I-m seriously confused by what-s happening to me. There were only 3 legendary fish that popped up on the map and that I-ve caught. but no more are popping up! I keep looking and the legendary fish map and nothing

Compendium says I have 13 legendary fish but post office said I only have 12 help sooo confused. I think it-s sockeye at lake Isabella. caught it twice but no x was over the fish on the map what-s going

I don't get why they made this completeable until after the game. Like why Arthur able to encounter this dude in the first place if we can't get all the fish with him?

The game just tell you to press down the left stick but if u alternate up and down (L up - L down) while you reel back the fish you-ll catch it in no time! Hope it helps

Spent 5 minutes trying to lure in the bass and got as soon as I caught it I got rushed by 15 bounty hunters and he threw it back.

This nearly put me off 100% completion, so long winded and just awful to do, litterally the worst part about red dead 2 is the fishing.

Sadly can-t get the fish in tall trees. Marshals spawn out of no where so it-s impossible to accomplish until John.
