The problem with QuanticDream games is that they're portrayed as games with freedom of choice where your decisions affect the game and offer multiple paths so that what you experience may be unique to you but not all other players. So you can start the game and feel free to do whatever choices you feel like doing at any moment. This is in contrast to most other games that are linear and have either no choices or meaningless choices. But by adding all these specific trophy requirements that require a specific path and specific choices, this game goes from being free and nonlinear to be even less free than other games because not only are you now expected to go down one specific path (as with most games, you have to ensure you avoid other paths by constantly looking at online guides to avoid making mistakes, which you don't need to do with regular linear games that force you on the right path on their own. This is a textbook example of a game ruined by trophies. They take an otherwise organic experience and make it feel coerced. QD games' trophy lists literally turn their games into the opposite of what they're meant to be, leaving us with a grindy, unnecessarily long, and often boring and repetitive experience. They should do it like Life is Strange. Your choices there have consequences on the story and it's non-linear, just like DBH. But the trophies there don't ruin that. You just want the collectibles and the story and you're done. LiS2 even added the option to skip cutscenes, and a second option to only skip cutscenes that have been viewed before, to avoid meaningless repetition. How hard can it be for other interactive games to add these features? This just looks like filler to me. Now, you may say that this only in the trophies, and noone is required to get trophies. True, but the way DBH gameplay is presented and advertised is in the exact opposite way of what we trophy hunters will experience, and it's only so because of the unnecessarily grindy trophy requirements that demand a stringent pathway with choices planned ahead of time.

Hi Powerpyx,
I've started my Connor deaths play through but when I've reached fugitives I've chose to stay at the motel so as I can get my last magazine in zlatovs house. But I'm worried because you said it needed to be an entire play through no chapter selects which I wasn't going to do only for getting the magazine and then restarting fugitives level and closing the squat so it starts the highway chase scene.

In The Nest chapter I didn't die the same way as in the video. I got through that part but then on the 2nd roof I slid down off of I didn't press a single button and got ran over by that lawn mower sorta thing. Still died but for this trophy does it matter if I die from falling off a building or from getting ran over OR it's fine as long as I just die?

I have a question: when reaching the last part of the battle of detroit with connor and north(timestamp 17: 27, after having connor killed the previous times, if i kill her at this point can i still unlock both the trophies -mission accomplished- and the -i'll be back- one? Cause these are the ones i left and i'm trying to get the platinum.

So no joke I've spent like so many hours cause I kept having different things happen on different playthroughs and kept having to go back to get the deaths and play through the same chapters over and over. To find out you have to get all 10 deaths in one playthrough. I've been driven to insanity. I'm out -

bro are you kidding me, you couldn't include that you have to reject john to sacrifice markus! i followed this playthrough to reach markus part then get saved by john! i wasted so much time
edit: there was another way, you attack and dont press any buttons and you get to shoot yourself

I-m playing to get this trophy, but it is so hard to do these choices. I hate when Connor and Hank doesn-t get along. I see Hank as a father figure to Connor, makes me feel so sad choose this path. I-m trying to convince myself it-s just a game, but I-m feeling hurt -

This is probably a dumb question but im confused, are you supposed to do this in a whole new playthrough? w save on or without saving? And are you just supposed to keep reloading the game after each time connor dies?

If Connor actually became leader of the deviants when Markus died it would have been cool to see Connor use his own detective skills and survive and be persuasive to the humans and get the deviants free himself

-On the run. If your like me and couldn't get kara, alice and connor to die even though you did everything in the video, simply go pause the game and change difficulty to Experienced and try again it should work.

From what I've seen here, he must die just 8 times.
To me it died 9x, but Hank didn't.
Except with Hank and Hank didn't end himself, so no trophy

Okay so turns it. It needs to be all in one play through. You can-t chapter jump to make it easy. Which is shame. I-m in a tight schedule

How do you get Conner and north to shoot each other because the only part I think I can get to that is letting Marcus die.
