In 86 or 87 I met Captain Lou Albano. In Orange Park, Fl. A drunk military officer hit a car with a women and she was injured. A first responder was going to help the drunk first.
I stopped him and a confrontation started. A mob formed behind me and Lou was standing on my right. A women who was in the movie total recall was on my left.
In 88 I met Cyndi Lauper. I was in Miami, FL and I spoke at really trying to get help for the poor. 100s of bands showed up to support, including Miami sound Machine, Paula Abdul, The GO, GOs, Debbie Gibson, Bad Company, Oak Ridge Boys and many more.

Great choice of songs. Some interesting snippets.
But I can't get past that the presenter looks like a used car salesman, and has a terrible voice.
(Don't mean to offend anyone, just my take on it. I don't know the guy, though I am guessing he was iconic in the US)
Thanks for the upload Random Guy.

What's also fascinating is that Casey Kasem has lived about as long as the Japanese actor Ichiro Nagai, who voiced Namihei from _Sazae-San, _ Korin from _Dragonball_ (I think) and Albus Dumbledore from the _Harry Potter_ franchise, to name a few. Ichiro and Casey had both passed on in the same year.

Actually I did not know this show. In Germany we did not have a chance to see it. Anyway I really like to the way he presented the music. Very positive and calm without taking too much attention on his own. Thank you SRG

I will always remember how happy I was hearing Casey Kasem on the American Top 40 on the radio and seeing him on the American Top 10 on the television in my teenage years in the '80s. Those were the best nights.

I always knew Casey Kasem love the song Back In Black. It only spent 5 weeks in the top 40, and peaked at #37, but Casey always sounded PUMPED when he was introducing the song on the countdown.

Love all these oldies from my youth (except Sting) remember Casey being on radio here in Melbourne, Australia. My favourite of all of them would have to be 'eye of the tiger'

I actually remember everyone of these shows.
Every Sunday morn.
But the fact you didn't play the songs thru. kinda tempted to thumbs down, but. ok.

That last decade for awesome music, 60s, 70s and 80s were the best. The decades when rock stars existed.
Thank you for this video

So it appears that some random guy is our modern day Casey Kasem, bringing us these stories of our favorite artists

I just noticed that he had no qualms about talking about Olivia Newton-John and AC/DC in basically the same tone
