Strange but true: I've been a fan of JJ Cales's music since he appeared in the early 1970s. A few years ago, I woke up around 5 am (UK time) and searched for any kind of documentary about Cale. There was only one on YT, so I watched it. When it was finished I looked at the news and it was JUST announced that he died around midnight, Tulsa time. That was the time I woke up for no reason.

We lost a lot of great talent in 2022. The big thing that keeps happening in the back of my mind is all of the talent we're going to start losing to old age sooner than later. There are so many big names that I'm so happy are still with us, but they're going to start going away soon.

Some I have heard of and some not. Some I thank for the memories they evoke even now. But R. I. P to all of them. You played the soundtrack to our lives. You are missed and always will be

No new members of the 27 club. It seems that musicians are not dying so young of overdoses or suicide as they were in the past. At least there's that.

Also, for the Brits among us.
RIP Terry Hall. He had a less than perfect childhood
Which reflected in his vocals for The Specials.
