It doesn't matter which theme song was your favorite but it seems everybody had a voice back then. Kids were happy, adults were happy and even seniors were happy. These shows reflected a general hope and optimism that is so far away from these times. 80s weren't as cynical. The future looked bright. What the hell happened Actually we didn't care about the future or the past because the present ( meaning the 80s we were having so much fun that we didn't think it would end. Well end it did and NOT in a good way. One word describes today's times: boriiiiiiing unless you have tons of money. Something definitely changed since then. It just doesn't feel right anymore. Sorry for my rant. I loved many of these themes but i would say my top 5 are Miami Vice, ALF, Airwolf, Knight Rider and Dynasty.

I was a teen during the 80's and hearing this music and seeing these shows brings back such happy memories! Today my TV collects dust because watching todays woke garbage actually feels like your IQ drops into the 50's just by watching a couple of minutes. If you can stomach it that long! Back in the 80's we were all proud to be Americans! Gone forever

We did have the best of the best growing up in the 80's. I watched Dallas from the very beginning and that theme song still gives me chills! I love all versions of the Dallas theme songs on my phone today and sometimes I just listen to them. It was great memories for sure, but there was a lot to love about the 80's! A great time to be alive!

I'm a teen of the 80s. My favorites among these, with what I thought were the most catchy tunes (and in not particular order): Cheers, Dallas, Dukes of Hazard, Magnum P. I, Simon & Simon and Miami Vice. Those theme songs will last through the ages. (Cheers and Magnum P. I. I watched the most out of all of these on this video. )

back when shows had a classic memorable defining intro. you'd think they would continue that tradition today because if you're not in the mood you can always skip it now. back then i'd imagine it would be much harder to skip it, so people had longer attention spans.

Even after all these years by far the best opener is Miami vice. The song, the edit cut scenes, pus you right into the Miami high life scene. Unlike most others which might seem a bit cheesy 4 decades later. that one still looks awesome today and has same impact.

Ahh, The Fall Guy, Knight Rider, The Dukes of Hazzard, Magnum P. I, Simon & Simon, MacGyver, 21 Jump Street, Married. with Children, and V were my shows. A few other decent shows not included in this video are Silver Spoons, Best Of The West, Voyagers! and Cover Up.

Grew up in the 80s and watched most of these shows. Man, hearing these theme songs brings such strong feelings of nostalgia. No internet, cell phones, or social media. Played outside all day. If I had a time machine I'd go back and experience it all over again.

I remember thinking ALF was literally the lowest form of entertainment humans could come up with. Of course the Kardashian show had yet to pollute the minds of millions. Turns out Alf really wasn’t half bad.

Really touched my heart seeing the moonlighting one reminds me of my late father, When we all had the patience and the belief and happiness to wait every week for the next episode

I never realized there used to be tv shows that weren’t based on degrading republicans or Christian’s. I though that’s what television shows were created for.

MacGyver fan here, because thats the only show I was allowed to watch without restriction, because my parent thought i could learn something useful for school

Current generation are weak. They are offended at every little things. To the point where even their shows and movies rotates around the same topic over and over.

I have a lot of these on a Mike Post theme song record. 52 now, miss the must see TV years but at the same time, don’t at all. These shows were epic though.

Seeing Bruce with Sybil brings home how sad it is that his health has failed him at such a premature age. Thanks for countless years of TV and Movie memories

As a young kid growing up in the 80s in Malaysia, we imported so many shows that I watched 90% of the ones in this video. Looking back, it was incredible.

The stand out for me was Falcon's Crest. Never saw the show. Still don't want to. Very nice composition though.

Theme songs are a relic of the past. Networks got rid of them in the late 90’s to squeeze in more commercials.

Imagine TV shows just for entertainment purposes without a constant woke narrative shoved down your throat!
