The UK’s Official Top 100 Most Streamed Songs from the '70s, '80s and '90s, compiled by the Official Charts Company. Please note that this list is only about the UK and that Christmas songs were apparently excluded. Source: I love Top lists like this! Merging my love of music and statistics requires some serious tabulation and number crunching. The output is pure upbeat music history: ) Its easy to tell which songs will be exclusive to the UK short list versus an American list. Thank you, Some Random Guy!

Only 13% (13 songs) out of 100 were female only vocals! Human League, Fleetwood Mac and the Kenny/Dolly duet provided a couple more female voices to the endless wall of male voices. Not a single song from Tina Turner, Madonna or Mariah Carey (how is All I Want for Christmas. not here. There's something very wrong with the compiling of this list, when All I Want for Christmas is You can get 1. 8 Billion streams and not be in the top 300! How Mariah's Fantasy has 300 million and is #179. Clearly the festive songs weren't included, therefore it isn't the most streamed songs, it's the selected most streamed. How does Madonna have 1 entry (Like a Prayer) when Material Girl has more streams There's something very off with this compilation, which somehow benefits men (probably something about Madonna having album versions and single edits and they weren't added together.

A few surprises, but an incredible list.
I would have loved to see it if 60's songs were included as well.
Is it possible to do thee 60's
The other thing that would be interesting is comparing it to the same time period in USA, Europe and Australia. I think they would all be quite different charts.
Anyway thanks for putting together and sharing this video, SRG.

It's weird. How can Heaven from Bryan Adams can be there and NOT Everything I do for example I wanna dance from Whitney and NOT I will always love you Very strange! But thanks for the video, it's always a good feeling of nostalgia.

Only one The Smiths song and so low To me, it's such an iconic, timeless band that perfectly manages to capture the loneliness youthdom can bring. Even more fitting for now than when it came out.

Wow. that was almost the soundtrack to my life before i hit 40 - some cringe but a fair few stone cold classics (and hoe good was it to hear paradise city again. lovely work and many thanks!

All three decades are fire in their right, but nothing and I mean nothing beats the 80s. I can't imagine anyone streaming songs from this decade that will withstand the test of time.

Outstanding, thank you sir. Nice to see a few one-hit-wonders made the list. Thanks for taking the time to compile the entire list, edit, add subtitles, and post for all of us.

Our boy Rick only on 72 Holy.
a-ha at 13 is pretty neat. What is baffling though is that none of their other songs made the list. Spoiler:
Wonderwall is #1.

I wouldn't have guessed the number 1. I guess there's a lot of nostalgia related to it, but for me, Lucky Man by The Verve was my Wonderwall

I’m still Standing is one of those songs that got better overtime. It was a modest hit back in 1983 but it has become a classic pop anthem.

There are so many legendary artists and great songs on this list. Many have become standards. It shows good music never gets old.
