The France Gall song won Eurovision that year for Luxembourg, and their entry this year has lyrics that are a sort of an update to that, or a more empowering take in response to the old song. BTW, how do you decide the order you put the songs in

While I didn't listen to a lot of '60s music as much as I did for music from other decades like the '70s through the 2000s, you can't deny it was the rise of the civil rights movement, Woodstock, and the British Invasion.

My goodness - I don't think there was another year where there were so many classic tunes, by so many classic artists (Beatles, Stones, Supremes, Dylan, DC5, etc) - 1965 defined the 1960's!

All those great songs, released in the SAME year!
My God - we really were the luckiest generation to be around for ALL that!
I remember every one of them with a BIG smile! : )

Hey so will I. I grew up hearing most of these songs. I had 2 sisters who were 15 & 17 years older than me. They only listened to 50’s and 60’s music. I’m very thankful for that

I loved seeing a still from The Tonight Show starring Johnny Carson in this video! Didn't know that James Brown performed on it, but it isn't surprising. Thank you!

Crazy, man!
The early '60s sounded a lot different from the late '60s - the music that comes to most peoples' minds when they think of '60s music.

The most of them are really evergreens! As a guy who was born in 1984 i can really appreciate this! Great work! So much classics!

The Seekers were at their peak at that point. 2 years later they came home and played in front of an estimated 250000 in Melbourne

They even more sad thing is that what's even more startling is the number of artists who are going to be gone in the years to come

I love this music and wasn't even born then. My late father influenced my taste in music to include all these greats.
