Woman's Soulmate Is A Possum - KRICKET Soulmates The only nasty creatures are humans. To be blessed, and it IS a blessing, with the trust of an animal, wild or not, is 1 of THE greatest gifts of life you could possibly have and tells the world what kind of a person you are because animals know your intent before you do so when an animal trusts you, you KNOW youve got it right.

While very cute I don’t advise anyone have an opossum as a pet. They come with major health problems and require a special diet thats very strict or they can pass away very painfully. She is the perfect person for these beautiful animals because she shows people how good they are. I just want to make it clear they are not pets!

You are absolutely amazing and your story is inspirational! Thank you for your compassion, caring and love. Your life has truly been enriched. What a wonderful story - never knew this was possible with a possum -- but, then again, why not! Best to you and your fur babies! Jan

I have rescued 2 opossums. Precious meant soo much to me! She was weak, flea infested. got her healthy and released her. I would LOVE to have another furry friend. We just have so many reptiles which I love but I miss my furry friends

For those whom don't know, possums are actually a keystone species. They drastically affect their local environment, because they are a beneficial species, doing so many positive things for the area they inhabit.
Example Ticks.

Opossums are wonderful but can be boring pets. My cousin had one when I was a kid & it did almost nothing, but I loved it. Their short life span is too quick of a heartbreak, too. Nope, not for me.

The thing I cannot deal with is the short life span of some rodents. Saying goodbye to so many close loves would break my heart. Bravo to this lady for keeping her heart open. xxx

I love oppossums. I have fed them since I've lived here, (22 yrs. They always eat my friskies cat food that I put out for stray cats. Kricket is adorable. Barley was too.

Well, because of you, people now
know more about Possums. One
observation is that they are far more
intelligent and affectionate than we
have been led to believe.

My first possum. Princess Blossom. The awesome possum.
She was like a big animated plush toy. She lived on my shoulder. She passed away at three years.

Thank you for educating people about night creatures like opossums. They pose no threat of ANY kind unless you threaten them. Bless you for posting this!

Fun fact, if you can see the whites of an opossum’s eyes it means they’re so obese that their eyes are bulging out of their sockets.
