My mom killed herself when I was 20. She felt with mental illness, on and off, for many years. Thank you for talking about your mom, Kylie. Suicide has such a horrible stigma and I think that many people are ashamed to tell someone how they feel, fearing rejection and ostracized. Only through sharing about our personal experiences with it, will the public think about it without negativity.

My daughter has a pit/staff mix like Beau. So loving and has to be in your lap at all times. While at her house last summer, I got very sick and he didn't leave my side for an instant. Pits are amazing dogs and don't deserve the bad rap they get. Beau seems a perfect fit for your amazing family! Thank you for rescuing him and I'm happy that he rescued you right back!

Yes Pitbulls are the best. I am a cat person. I have 4 cats from recues. I'd have more. But we rent. I'd also have a Pitbull. I love them for the kind of loving, silly, wonderful devoted dogs they are. I just wished they lived lived longer. The cats Ive had have lived up to 22 years. SO that's the plus point. But I'd love a Pitbull, so would my younger son.

i'm agnostic but believe in a version of God. idk if reincarnation is a thing or guardian angels or ghosts or what else, but for me the timing of such a tragic loss and such a significant gain verifies a lot of those higher beliefs

I love the Part when animal control told the dad to get a pitbull to make her daughter feel safe and not be scared of dogs. These two beautiful human beings are great ambassadors for pitties. Thank you and bless you.
