I don't want a bird that is just something you chuck in a cage and just give food and water
But my sister's budgies are just that
They never want to be outside the cage despite me trying to ease into handling them by holding them for 10 minutes twice a day every day
They see the cage and they'll fly to it and climb back in. A budgie might be a starter pet but its not at all a introduction to what bigger bird will be like
A macaw can be more social and affectionate than a $8 budgie

I had a pet parakeet that was trained to fly around the room and land on my finger. I loved for him to be free to fly around every day. Then I was around a cockatiel that my wicked stepmother clipped his wings so he couldn't fly. Broke my heart she was so evil. Birds are meant to fly. Eventually his wings grew back and I trained him to fly around the room and land on my finger. And he was so happy.

I had a beautiful mitred head conure (green body and red head) called Groerge, he lived for 26 years. He was so smart.
I will never forget him sitting on my shoulder as we looked out of the window and a bigger, predatory bird was flying outside. George cocked his head to look at the bird and then turned to me and said hurt he was telling me that he was afraid that bird would hurt him.

I felt the easy pets comment. People think that about Guinea pigs but they’re a lot of work: cage cleaning, baths, nail clipping, ear cleaning, toys, treats, special food, fresh fruits and veggies, vitamin c supplements (just to be safe, floor time, cuddles, and vet visits. Having pigs is a lot of work but I’ve had them for almost 15 years and I love them so much!

this makes me cry because the same happened to my lovebird got stressed we got him a baby lovebird and. the love bird died came back alive and died the 2 days after dew to him being too weak we are getting a new baby bird we still love you kiwi(baby lovebird)you will be in my heart

Indian Ringnecks are one of the most beautiful of all parrots with red beaks, long tails, and feathers fine as silk. I raised three from youngsters, my oldest, lutino male will be twenty seven y. o. soon with his partner in crime Quaker soon to be twenty eight.

Before anybody runs out to get a parrot because they saw this video, remember that parts live out a long time. It’s a great responsibility having a parrot. The idea might be great but the reality is totally different. Just leave them in the wild.

I wish i could get my birds to come out and hang with me but when i got them i got them together at the same time and they refuse to bond with me but i love them anyway

I think all female Indian parrots are same. My mum have a female Indian parrot and she behave the same as we saw this female bird in the video
