The octopus is at its end of life stage. This is clear by its pale color and size. Clearly, a healthy octopus could have freed itself from the shallow water. This octopus was likely in the very shallow water to avoid most predators that could easily find and eat it in its weakened state had it stayed in deeper water. This said, these are amazing creatures that ARE capable of connecting with and expressing emotions towards people.

The story and the video are not a match! Nothing in the video happened as the story describes! There’s a reason this is called the Dodo, you’d have to be a Dodo to believe what they put out!

Octopuses can walk on dry land. He could of walked himself. I suggest they just disturbed him when he was in the shallows.
