Rescued Baby Beaver Loves To Kayak With His Family Wild Hearts Lets hope he didnt chew off the legs of a furniture or any of the trees in your backyard like his completely wild realtives does. Last year we had a serious problem with wild beavers gnawing down some of the trees at the family country house by the lake, resulting in not only to take care of the fallen trees but put chicken wire around still standing trees so they cant chew them down and cause damage to the storage shed or the wood shed. We set a couple of traps for them and one or two did get caught but tha didnt stop them, though thanks to us putting up the chicken wire, they havent been such bother anymore, though they still hang around, most likely even have their nest underneath the lawn by the lake, as you can see some gnawed sticks floating in the water during the late fall, as I noticed in october and november (I even saw one of the beavers swimming in the water, though just below the surface and it swam away quickly I didnt get a good look at it.

During World War 2 in Germany, two born in captivity beavers, a male and a female escaped from captivity after bombs destroyed the place they were in and they were not found for six weeks. When they were found, they were building a dam on a river! Despite never having seen that done by their parents. It's extraordinary how those instincts and skills are built into them. The relationship between Beave and his family is so precious!
That was 2 years ago, so he may have followed that stream and found a wife by now. But even if he does, he loves his human Momma Nancy so much, I've a feeling he'll keep coming home for dinner and some damming practice in dry-dock!

Please do not let that beaver go out in the wild. There is no way he will survive, either take him to a shelter or him neutered and keep on treating him like a pet. That beaver is in no way prepared for the wild and will never be.

So wonderful! We have beaver in my neighborhood. I haven't seen them yet but I see the chewed up trees and even grabbed a piece of wood with the tooth marks. I see the little dams they built too. I haven't spotted their lodge yet.

Thank you for posting and helping him -especially with the training to get him back in the wild. Did you see those feet I've never seen a beaver's foot up close. Best, from Colorado!
reply

Look at that and tell me genetic memory isn't a thing. He's had 3 weeks, probably blind for part of it, with beavers and STILL he's making little dams in the house.

You were a little hard on the Beave last night. June admonishes. Yes, dear. My bad. Ward admits with lustful satisfaction thinking of doubling his crime.

We want updates on the precious baby! Maybe he will bring his mate home! Leave it to beav. Y'all could be grand parents to baby beavers! How cool is that.

Finally a video comes along where I can say Hey mom that's the most beautiful beaver i've ever seen and not get into any trouble for saying it.

Omg I love them. I have a river in my back yard, they are everywhere. I wish I could get one to come chill in my house with me.

it is like kids build house or fort or nest. i don't think it is unique to beavers. the nest or fort or house just looks different

It’s fascinating how a beaver will build a dam inside of a house, moving around shoes & blankets & what-not, to build.

Why does he build dams in your house I thought beavers only make dams when they heard the sound of running water.

God is obviously in the entertainment industry. He has made so many entertaining creatures for our enjoyment.

Coming to Wichita KS is the worst thing that I have ever done to myself.
