Baby Wolf Dog Bounces Back After Rough Start Comeback Kids Comeback Kids Thats one creepy couple. That kind of creep is pretty common in the wolf rescue community. They ignore the fact that the mission of a legit wildlife rehabilitation practitioner is to repair the animal to health, without forming a human bond, and to get them back to the wild asap, where they belong - they are wild. These people are narcissists who care more about their own enjoyment than the actual wellbeing of the animals. and dont give me the BS about wildlife in captivity live longer and more comfortable lives. To whatever extent that is true it is an essential component of the law of natural selection and, therefore, essential for all life to thrive. Want a pet Rescue/adopt a domestic animal. Want to do something to directly, hands-on, help wildlife in distress Rehab and release safely back to the wild asap - no bonding. Very rarely should wildlife be domesticated and then used to serve as an educational tool so youngsters can be taught not to harm them or fiddle with them but to just appreciate them from afar.

6: 37 watch the lady she's going to do something that too few people do with strong-minded and powerful canids with potential food aggression issues. No matter what breed of dog I have, and I usually raise them all from pups but sometimes I don't get them that way or I have very aggressive ones because they've been abused, and I mean literally spanked as a two-week-old pop for making noise crying for its Mama because mama has not been allowed near them to take care of them, teach them anything, or feed them.
Anyway she has been messing in their food bowl to make sure that they don't become food aggressive. She makes them wait a second and have some manners, before they dive right In, holds her hand on the bowl as they eat, she stirs up the food, lifts it to their mouth maybe, I don't know what else, but it's a very good thing to do when you're raising a pup. Even a Maltese or some other little lap dog can be food aggressive and territorial.

I rescued 3 wolf/German shepherd pups. years and years ago. back when Forestry was rehabbing and releasing high content wolves. only one adjusted to my household. Moose. the other 2, I gave to the release program. I'm happy to say Nikki and Spirit did well and were successfully released to Yellowstone. Moose had been injured and couldn't go. we live on some acreage in the mountains, backed up to Forestry land. plenty of room to safely roam. Moose did well and lived to be 18 years old, when cancer took him away. He loved me, and was only rarely away from me. it was the most incredible bond, between us. I was totally Blessed!

I had seen a few programs about hikers being attacked by wolves in highly trafficked trails which didn't make sense because wolves typically fear human beings & get as far away as possible. BUT the Domesticated side of the Wolf
(wolf Dog) has evolved not to fear people.
It's so F'd up to crossbreed the two Animals because more often than not they will be put down for hurting someone or some thing Really is not fault of it's own

Serious question from a cat lady (that loves all animals and especially dogs): What happens to a pack when their Alpha dies How do they chose the next Alpha I know from psychology that a Beta in a pack will (almost) never become the new Alpha but rather become another Delta (normal member of the pack or human group. Not so sure if human psychology is applicable to animals I am seriously interested in how this works! Thanks for reading!

When I lived in San Diego, CA I took my granddaughters up to Julian to see the wolf sanctuary and the town. The site gave all visitors wonderful info re the wolves. We really came away with such admiration for the caretakers and their wolves. Your Pibbles are gorgeous. Pibbles have a great piece of my heart. Ride on Ryder

Im curious, had the Mother passed away when we see the beginning with the pups I didn't hear them say whether or not the mother was adopted or this or that and nothing is ever mentioned, or if it was I must have missed it.

Funny that he said his pitbull was the nanny and takes care of all of them, in the 1700-1800s they actually used pitbulls as nannies to stay home with the children while the parents went out on the fields to work.

If they hike with them off leash, what happens when they run into people hiking with their dogs Asking because I’ve had off leash dogs chase me and my leashed dogs and now I’m scared of off leash dogs.

Still amazed at folks who let dogs - especially small ones - get anywhere near an airbag. Please:
Airbags can kill much bigger dogs. Please read about it. And restrain animals in cars. please.

I see how you put your fingers in her food while eating. We’ve always done that. Our Rottweilers were all very easy going with their food because of that. The kids helped train them.

Never heard of wolf/dogs before, but I suppose it must have been happening, we've got cross bread Dingo's over here in Australia, in some places it's a real problem, Rj in Oz

These people are horrible! Why did people just take them from their home! Let them live a normal life that's not being taken away from their home and sold as pets!

She is a leader like you said. I love her and I have huge respect for work you do. Thank you for sharing with us such a beautiful story.

They are still wildlife. Only trained people with facilities for natural life should take in wild creatures. Not for apartment dwellers

These wolf dogs are georgous! Where do people get them. What do they eat I wonder. A raw diet I bet they are expensive to have.
