Hurt Sea Lion Asks Boaters For Help My fiancee and I were pn holiday in Skye (north of Scotland) and we went on a boat ride that frequently stops by where sealions rest on rocks. They get fed a floating fish so theyll come closer to the boat so we can see them better. If there are regular seal watching boat tours pike there is in Skye, then it makes sense that a seal would know that a boat would help her x

If you're going to help them, help them. Don't let a potentially injured animal struggle to get to safety. I get that you're generally not supposed to engage with wildlife but like I said, if you're gonna help, help.
That being said, still great folks doing the right thing. Always happy to see rescued and rehabbed aminals.

Great, heartfelt story, touching, how realistic is it Now, let's try and comprehend the existence of people the rest of the wild beasts (humanity) ignorant we are, we are here for a limited time, and in universal time, a nanosecond, what Matrix. lol

Yo y'all who don't know the REAL video, the real video is actually that seal escaping a killer whale and not being hurt. I don't understand or know why they lie about the context and true reasons of the seal climbing on the boat but they certainly did.

This is the first Dodo video I've ever come across that didn't have closed captioning. I have no idea what happened in this video. Was there dialogue or narration No details in description either to clue me in.

They are incredibly smart creatures! I remember sealion saved man from drowning after he had done a suicidal jump from the golden gate bridge. Sealion kept this man on the surface. Really a miracle story

sea lion after one month: guys UFO (Unidentified floating object) bring me to the land and give treatments, such a long story and it live happily ever and after as a great story teller.

I would have helped her up to safety, I would give her care, built a huge pool, and added her as my companion, as well a warm enclosure to keep her warm during the winter months.

It's beyond honorable and heart touching that they find us humans the #1 deadliest beings of the world by far a source of comfort and safety.

Soo, why did the sea lion ask for help Was it malnourished Did it have an illness You say hurt, but what caused the injury

I love how this story ended. I am happy she got the medical attention she needed so she could live a normal life again

I believe that is a seal. They have external ears. Sea lions don't, and are much larger and quite dangerous animals.
reply

It's an incredibly unique and heartening experience when a wild animal chooses to place its trust in you.

These guys happen to be in the right place for the injured sea lion. She was like a stray dog needing help.

I'm in rehab right now and there are no seals here. Its almost Christmas. I wish there was a seal here.
reply

Lmao did anyone notice it shook its head when he patted the boat, like nah, bro, I’ll do it my way’

This is why we must be kind to animals so they know they can come to us when they are in need
reply

Well, that poor sea lion had NO help getting into the boat. Must be a government employee.
