Wild Baby Raccoons Think A Pit Bull Is Their Mom Wild Hearts Do kids still read Rascal by Sterling North Its quite an old book, but its what made me understand raccoons and how funny they can be. I just remember uncontrollable laughter when Rascal takes a sugar cube to wash it off for eating, but they keep dissolving, over and over. Holesome memories recommend

This should be a wake up call to those that believe that pittbulls and racoons are vicious. Love the story and the fact that there are people that actually want to help these little creatures live the life of freedom just as nature intended. Thank you guys

I raised several raccoons on my property years ago. I rescued them just after they were born. Their eyes weren't even open yet. They ran wild and would come to me every time I called them. They were hilarious and playful. I miss them.

I also took on the job of raising 3 orphaned baby raccoons. That experience will forever change my absolute level of admiration and respect for the amount of intelligence and emotion these amazing creatures possess. Miss them so much.

Sorry. but these things are vermin. I saw a whole family of these things rip a baby seagull apart. Tried to save the bird but it was already too late. Ohhhh. they are soooo cute. No. They would eat you if they had the chance.

Vicious Who said that I've heard plenty of people call them like cats, but crazy, but that's more to do with.
Well, with the stuff we see them doing right here. Like clinging to a person's butt as they do squats.

i always appreciate the clips that show people helping animals the way parents actually would. so they can eventually go out into the world and live their natural lives. and holy freaking crap these buggers are so adorable

My dog Lola can go from predator to mommy in a heartbeat. not certain how that happens. If I had to guess. the impulse and good feels to nurture overwhelms the predator instinct. Dogs are angels on this

Why is the audio quality of the narration usually such garbage in these videos
Sounds like she's talking through a tin cans connected by a wire, AKA 8bit autio compressed to hell and back!

Animals are the true salt of the earth. Love them all for their beauty, intelligence, compassion, innate abilities, and beyond. Animals are so much better than a lot of indifferent people.

It's funny we as people think we know what our animals know that dog didn't think they were her pups she just knew they were babies and stepped in to raise them. .awesome animals
reply

I respect the notion of taking them in as your own but I don't think they will survive on their own once you release them back into the wild. They are too domesticated

When I was young we always referred to pit bull dogs as nanny dogs. People bought them to help watch their children. Evil cruel people have ruined their reputation Sad

Raccoons are misunderstood by lots of people, they are very smart and curious. I am lucky as I have lots at work that trust me and they are constantly making me laugh.

Such a sweet story. baby Racoons are the cutest thing! I'm surprised, though, that the Great Pyrenees isn't herding the Adorable Babies. lol!
reply

So nice to hear and see them taking care of these baby raccoons, but still respect they are wild animals and plan to releasing them into the wild.

Anyone that, thinks, a pitbull is viscous, really needs to see this. What a typical pit she really is. I miss mine. He was truly a love bug
reply

I'm not sure how you can actually put them in the wild now and for them to survive. Especially after having so much contact with humans.

Great Video! Nice To Know There Are Still Some People Out There Who Care For Those Who Are Less Fortunate. Thanks For Sharing.

Is it safe for you dog to be near them they tend to have worms etc. thank you for helping our animal friends though.
reply

How do you teach them to stay away from humans so they aren’t thought of as rabid That alone could get them killed.
reply

No one wil mess with them in the wild. All they have to do is introduce them to their PIT BULL mama.
reply

I highly doubt they ever returned to the wild as they would of imprinted alteady to their food source.
reply

We’re just teaching them the life skills that they’ll need helps raccoon write resume
reply

reply

i love that your teaching them to take care of themselves in the wild. Good job lady
reply

Lovely story. Shows a little how all creatures have memories and feelings.
reply

I really love these types of stories. Mad points to those loving caring people.
reply

They know those raccoons will never leave now. They lived with humans
reply

Funny thing is that the woman and the dog are basically doing the same thing.
reply

As long as their there were here for them. Lol save the ndn not the man.
reply

Don’t raccoons carry roundworms that could kill humans and dogs
reply

If you think they’re docile go corner one in a menacing manner
reply

I think sometimes animals are better humans than we are.
