Tiny Octopus Gets So Excited When His Diver Friend Comes To Visit Him You kinda wont ever eat sea food anymore after such an experience. The video alone
Actually I tried octopus once or twice. It wasnt my favourite ever. And this was 15 years ago or so. So when I learned about them and puffer fish etc, I was in such disbelief, that we could eat them! Who had the idea Someone starving probably.
But farmers say the same about pigs and cows. They are intelligent, emotional animals.
So, what do I do! I eat good and expensive meat every once in a while. And I stick to fish, rather than crabs or lobster and all that fancy sea food. Thuna is very jummy. Raw and cooked

This almost made me tear up a bit. He seemed genuinely happy to see you every time. Content like this warms my heart, you treat animals with the utmost respect. Contrast that with people who make videos of them trying to aggravate their puma for likes, or people who catch giant isopods and cut them open while still alive. People who are cruel to animals make my blood boil, while people who are kind to animals give me hope for humanity. Keep doing what you're doing, and thank you for sharing with us!

Wow you incredibly lucky! They are so intelligent, so pacific (even the giant ones) but too bad they are so short lived. Truly alien creatures, there is even scientific support to the theory that they are not from earth. They are too different from the rest of earth’s creatures. Fascinating, I’m in love with them. How wonderful to be able to enjoy a friendship with an animal in the wild, in his own environment!

one of the most intelligent species on this planet. If not the most intelligent. The difference between human and octopy is that they dont have a schooling process like human so every generation starts from the beginning without the knowledge of the prebvious. IF the have a schooling process, the world would look like otherwise.

Thank you for filming such a wonder experience to allow us to see. This was amazing to watch. I truly enjoyed getting to see him interact with you. The way he touched your foot when you came back was so cool. This planet has so many wonderful experiences to offer if you just go out to look for them. Thank you.

He's like a real little mermaid I think those striped fishes are also his best friends and also very curious. Thank you for him not ending up as your food, most human- octopus interaction ends up that way, or worse. And they are actually an alien race

This is why I prefer animals over humans. They never have malicious intent. And from people you never know what to expect. Some would just harm you for the fun of it. Or because of different skin color or other stuff like that. Animals They don't do that.

the fact that it was able to recognize and understand that you are another sentient being capable of social goal-directed behavior, see that you were much more powerful and ask for help instead of being afraid is incredible on so many levels

I swear, octopi are pets of aliens they accidentally left here when visiting. Or are octopuses people of the sea So intelligent. Cute 8 legged puppy with googly eyes. I really hope Egbert is protected.
reply

This is so beautiful. We should never assume these beautiful creatures don't have feelings. I think all sentient beings do, no matter what size. This just warms the heart to watch.

It would be horror the day he finally becomes massive and decides he's never going to let you leave him again and holds you with a vice grip. hopefully it doesn't happen tho
reply

This is so sweet! Perhaps he wants to live with you in a tank. you might try it for awhile to see if he likes it; if he's unhappy you can bring him back to the ocean.

Great example how Gods gave us dominion over the fishes of the sea and the animals, man is superior to them and God is Sovereign over everything hallelujah!
reply

very cute. but ever since the documentary My Octopus Teacher people are out filming the encounters. it's not new but it's still pretty amazing.
reply

That’s going to be AGSI Cyborgs and the human race in 20 years from now. We’re the mini octopus in that scenario, in case you missed it: )
reply

This is how humans should truly respect all living creatures - in THEIR own habitat and not in human confinement or on a damn dinner plate!
reply

I legitimately can't bring myself to eat calamari or octopus anymore after seeing just how smart these animals are
reply

What a sweetie! I'm glad you go see him safe in the ocean and he's not a captive. What a precious friend.
reply

Octopuses are one of the most incredible animals in the world! They’re like aliens but this is adorable: 3

Egbert is werkelijk een schatje. Je zou hem zo mee naar huis nemen en een aquarium voor hem inrichten.
reply

I wonder if octopi are intelligent. The more I see about these creatures, the more I think they may be.
reply

We as human beings / animals are seriously underestimating the other living beings on. This planet 2: 55
reply

What really astonishes me is the fact that a normally independant animal asked for help.
reply

fun fact: octopuses are way more smarter than dolphins, and you know how smart a dolphin is.
reply

Plot twist it doesn't recognize you and thinks 10 different people visited him that week.
reply

That's so sweet. I'm glad there are kind people out there who love all animals
reply

when i saw an octopus, i never ate octopus or calamari again

I'd like to be under the sea in a octopus's garden in the shade. The Beatles

Ocean family! Just so beautiful to watch. xxx Thank you for sharing.

I would legit get over my fear of the ocean if I had an octopus friend.

If he survives, how large can this species get
How old do you think he is
