If that dogs legs could be corrected successfully, IT SHOULD ABSOLUTELY BE DONE. Of course she is going to experience pain but that's what pain medication Anti inflammatories were made for. Along with a Physical Therapist. That beautiful dog is young and would normally probably live between 10 & 15 years in normal health.
It would be Cruel in my opinion NOT to get her surgery IF it would correct her disability and give her a Meaningful Enjoyable Quality of Life running with other dogs vs move 3 ft and stop.

I 1st just wanna say whoever made that beautiful dog stay and grow up in a cage to become handicape is such a horrible person. On the other hand Thank goodness someone found her before she died in the bush in that cage. I hope she has a wonderful life now and will be a comfort to those children she will visit.

She'd benefit more with wheels. Simple The smaller 6 inch Hard rubber red rider style wheels attached to a small wooden plank with either Paw Slips which she could actually pull out of on her own & just as easily taught to slip her paws forward into the slips and off she could go. Light weight and simple.

This is an amazing story of miraculous rescue of a dog from a cage and how much the therapy and prosthesis has helped Lucky walk and have fun in her life! So glad she has a wonderful furever home and also another sweet dog to play with! Thanks so much for sharing this with us!

You should try the UK vet Noel Fitzpatrick he can and has worked miracles with dogs and other animals. Look him up. He is expensive but if he thinks it’s worth doing you can always start a go Fund Me and I’m sure you would get lots of financial help.

I LOVE that she found the PERFECT furever home, with people who LOVE her and want the BEST for her, AND she got the PERFECT sister as well! I hate to be petty, but I REALLY HOPE karma bites the ASS of whoever did this to this innocent DARLING puppy!

are you able to put some kind of soft rubber padding on her front leg joints for when she's not wearing the prosthetics (like humans put in their shoes) That must still hurt to walk when NOT wearing her prosthetics

Loved seeing this story. Lucky is a fantastic combination and it is so nice to see him have such fun with the other dog. His owner is so kind and is a perfect fit for him. Much happiness to them.

My friend has a poodle with the same condition as Lucky. and her dog uses 2 little front wheels that help her get around faster and more comfortable than prosthetics. I hope they try wheels for Lucky

As a special needs parent to a human child, watching this, I thought, Wow! Lucky would be a GREAT ambassador to help special needs children. . I guess mom thought the same. I love this video!

That prosthetic doesn’t hold up her paws which must be very uncomfortable. I hope she gets a better one in the future, and I think it’s wonderful that she found the perfect mom!

Her paws look that 2ay because she was kept in a small cage and couldn't stand up, it looks like she was stuck in a sitting position. I hope that wasn't the case. Beautiful dog.
